Staff is amazing. But they don't sync up with other doctors very well. Too many prescriptions were being sent in which made insurance go hay wire. Everything kept being held up. One doctor should be responsible for it. But otherwise treatments were made as comfortable as could be. Women in chemo department are the best in the business!!!!

Love the valet parking, it makes things so easy. Facility is clean and modern. Staff is super friendly, the woman who works the register at the Cafe and calls everyone “sweetheart” is an angel and needs to be protected at all costs lol. My only complaint is during a fluid infusion my grandmothers nurse didn’t scrub the hub of her picc line appropriately, she scrubbed it for about 2 seconds and the literature (that UPMC follows) indicates it should be scrubbed for 15 seconds then left to dry for 5 to prevent central line infections. My grandma has already had one CLABSI infection from her PICC, that’s a careless way to get an infection. Other than that I understand the long wait times, it’s a hospital, chemo infusions can take a long time, and the wait isn’t always long. Overall everyone has been very kind and I would recommend Hillman Cancer Center.
