I have used Physicians Urgent Care in the past and had a wonderful experience! I would definitely recommend them to anyone for fast, friendly, and personable service. The reason I am writing this review is because I was turned away by the front desk from getting a Covid test, despite being exposed to a known positive case in the past 4 days and having an appointment scheduled. I was told that I would need to come back on my 5th to 7th day of post-exposure in order for the result to be accurate, which is perfectly understandable and I was happy to do so. However, I looked on the Physicians Urgent Care website, and in the FAQ's section, it is recommended to wait 3-5 days after exposure. I gave the clinic a call back to make them aware of this, so that others would not be surprised coming in. The woman on the phone said that the CDC just came out with this information, and I informed her that their website said otherwise. I just wanted to post this to tell individuals that are expecting to get tested 3-5 days after exposure that they will NOT allow you to test, and in hopes that someone is able to update the website to reflect this change.
Do not get tested for coronavirus here. They surprised me with a $160 bill for one that wasn’t a rapid test, even with insurance.
Let me preface this by saying that this is a clinic that has earned my trust. I came to them as a new patient because I needed to get a covid test. I needed quick test results for a flight, but it wasn't made clear that the rapid test wouldn't suffice for air travel (test must be PCR). I didn't become aware of this until after the test was over.I expressed my concern about the source of the confusion and they responded by updating their website, informing their staff, and they took the time to reach out to me to be sure everything was made right. They demonstrated that they listen to their patients and truly do have the patient's best interests at heart. In the midst of the chaos brought on by the pandemic, efforts such as that are what make them stand out from other clinics.
Incompetent. Very low volume but they lean heavily on "oh we're so swamped with Covid". Total BS. I was there numerous times and no one waiting. Slackers, the like of which socialism would be the norm.
Excellent service for rapid COVID test. In and out in less than 15 mins
The Provider Jessica Shirley was AMAZING! Personable, knowledgeable, and great bedside manners!
excellent attention they are very professional!!!👍
Getting in was very easy. They were one of the only places still available for Rapid Covid testing. Very thankful for them!
These guys took forever! They didnt seem to have any urgency and had me waiting in the room for over 30 minutes after the appointment time
We previously loved this clinic. The last two times we scheduled appointments online to avoid wait times, we waited OVER an hour. Unacceptable. Not well run like it was the first few times we went. The point of saving your place in line is to avoid the long wait time with a sick child in tow. Disappointed and will not be back.
Extremely rude office! Horrible bedside manners for a Dr. The staff was very unprofessional!
Will not return to Brentwood location. Lady at front desk on 11/10/19 clearly didn’t want to be at work. Immediately started quoting policy and asking for insurance card and ID as soon as I opened the door. No hello, how ya doing, or anything. Also, silly policy of having to keep a credit card on file, but won’t let you keep an HSA debit card on file, so you have to get your own reimbursement from the HSA provider. Major inconvenience! Service from Austin was fast and efficient, but nurse almost immediately laughed when I asked for some prescription cream or pills for my son’s acne ‘have to see a dermatologist for that’.
I got the best of care. Thank you so much 😊
I have been going to the franklin location for years. They always amaze me with their high level of service. They treat me like an individual, not just another patient.
The staff is always very friendly here, but I made an online appointment, and so far, Ive been waiting an hour and a half to be seen. No point in making an appointment if you still have to wait this long. I understand getting backed up, but I do not understand why they wouldnt have let me know ahead of time so I didnt waste hours of my day waiting.
Súper expensive dr did nothing for my throat basically I pay for a bottle a water and a idiot telling me to go home to pain killers super dumb
My son went into the Franklin facility with flu like symptoms he recently moved to the area office personnel stated they had never seen his insurance before it was Alabama BCBS All Kids we have used it out of state before but due to my son being as ill as he was and me being 5 hours away from him I offered to place my credit card on file to cover if the insurance didn’t and this place turned my son away and he had to go to the ER which ends up costing the insurance more money and risks him getting sicker if he didn’t have the flu will be calling to speak with a person in charge bc I want to understand why he was turned away if I in fact offered to cover the costs....
This place is VERY clean which is why i think it has so many 5 star reviews... not alot of urgent cares look as good as this one. That being said, when i go to the doctors office Im looking for stellar care and anything else is just extra and this place has left me nothing but disappointed and frustrated. The first time I had a rash that was covering about 70% of my body and was very uncomfortable. The Dr. looked at me for about 3 minutes and she said something along the lines of well Im not sure what this is.. but since its not oozing or getting infected then Im gonna say just watch it and if it gets worse then come back. Thats it?! Thats all youre going to do about this mystery rash? I ended up going to a functional medicine doctor who knew exactly what it was and I was able to get rid of it quickly. The second time I went was for extreme lower back pain. I could barely walk. The Dr didnt know what it was so he tested me for a kidney infection.. I tested negative for all infections but he prescribed me a antibiotic anyway. He said well, maybe youre a unicorn and its a false negative. Im sorry.. What medical school did you go to? Surely not one that taught you to prescribe medicine for a something the patient does not have. I had a gut feeling that I shouldnt take this antibiotic and RUIN all of the healthy bacteria in my gut for no good reason, so I did not take it. I went to a chiropractor for a second opinion, he took an xray, found the problem, did an adjustment on me and my pain was GONE. The next two times were just as disappointing. More pill pushing and absolutely no energy spent on finding the root cause. So if youre looking for doctors who push prescriptions and who dont look for the root cause of your illness then you should go here. But if you want to see a doctor who will take the time to properly address your concerns, I would go somewhere else.
Ive been to this location twice and both times the people were great!! It was fast, they took care of the issues, one a pretty bad sliver and terrible gout. I highly recommend this place!!
This urgent care is the one I trust when a health issue is more serious than your typical case of strep throat or the flu, but not serious enough for the emergency room. They are very knowledgeable, and the experience is great convenient and fast. I work in healthcare business, so I spend a lot of time thinking about value/experience/quality. This is where I send friends and family.
