List of Mubasher Erfan Malik's Reviews
My rheumatologist, of more than 20 satisfactory years, passed and I ended up with Dr. Malik. I went to him suffering so much from lupus pains, lupus flair ups, and osteopenia, which I found out from my gynecologist. He would only prescribe Plaquinil. I can't take NSAIDS. I begged him for a medrol pack, he refused and I just had to suffer for the 2 + years. I am now trying to find a new doctor.
He is a wonderful doctor. But the nurse are not very helpful. And they wont let you speak with him. Needed My RA meds. Just some until my appointment. I have to go 2 weeks in pain no meds.
Wasn’t pleased with my care didn’t take me seriously and kept giving me medication but I had no diagnosis and Dr. Malik kept saying some type of Arthritis that I kept testing negative for even my full body X-ray was negative for Arthritis…now I had to go back to my PCP I had them to retest me and I’m positive for Lupus..just recently been seen by a new Rheumatologist and he ran his test an I’m positive for Lupus. I feel like Dr Malik would’ve waited until something bad happens before he would act concerning my health …he was also argumentative about my PCP comments about my health….His bed side manner to me is not to pleasant I will not be going back…
I was referred to this office by my PCP. He doesn't want to treat OA only RA. This is fine and his choice but he never contacted me to let me know. I found out when I called to see why they hadn't contacted me. This was rude and unprofessional. People go to a doctor to be treated, not ignored. Read you hypocritic oath again Doc!
Dr. Malik is wonderful!! He is very kind and shows empathy for my concerns and fears. He started me on a treatment regimen that would have the least chance of having side effects to see if it would bring me into remission and it worked. He is very patient and always answers my questions, and believe me, I ask a lot of questions!! The staff is really nice and friendly also.
I have been in treatment for CMCT, with Rheumatoid and Gout being the most predominant for over 10 years at The Arthritis Clinic and Kirkland Cancer Center in Jackson Tn. I traveled an hour and 15 mins just to have who I believed to be the best. The drive has been harder on me lately. The staff at both facilities were wonderful. I had started researching Drs. closer to my home, in Oakland, Tn., always disappointed and remaining with Dr. Aelion. This month a rheumatologist crossed my path, that has turned out to be the most thorough I have ever seen, as a patient. He is such a nice dr., very knowledgeable and professional. He makes you feel important to him, as a patient. On the first visit, he came in checked my joints ( hands on) answered all questions and then he drew all labs. (anything pertaining to my condition) Any testing I needed pertaining to my med levels, he also completed. Boy! Talk about absolutely impressed, I am.( it takes a lot to impress me) I am so thrilled to have Dr. Mubasher Malik as my Rheumatologist. His office staff and nursing staff are just awesome. So friendly and kind. Did I also mention the drive to Baptist Memorial Hospital East is only 35-40 minutes from my door. Thank you Lord for Dr. Malik. One more thing. He is so handsome!!
My visit w Dr. Malik was extremely disappointing. This was my second rheumatologist hoping he would be able to assist me but turns out he was a total dud, just like the first one. Dr. Malik was a total waste of time and money. His medical intern met w me first and he was very reassuring in my symptoms and test results of Lupus and stated the diagnosis was very clear. Dr. Malik meets w me and is going over my symptoms and said he was unsure of diagnosis and wanted to request more labs. I asked which ones because I had already completed three panels worth of labs that had several positive indications for Lupus on top of my Arizona rheumatologist confirming the diagnosis for Lupus. He stated he wanted to run my labs so he could get an updated test results and I argued stated these were done four weeks ago, they were very recent. I also mentioned that I have to pay a few hundred out of pocket because my insurance does not cover everything and would like to avoid paying again. He proceeded to argue w me over my insurance and how I should change carriers. I asked again what labs he wanted to run and I told him those were already done and he said he didn’t see the results in my chart. He went to check my chart and never returned. He sent his lab nurse in to get me where I asked about the labs again. She walks to the front desk and states “she’s being difficult can you please go explain to her again so she understands”. I was full blown sobbing at this point and then intern returns back w a copy of labs Dr. Malik wants to run. I explained I was already positive for those and they were in the chart, he expressed his apologies and left it up to me. I grabbed my things and left. The office staff was extremely rude and Dr. Malik spends zero time w his patients. The intern showed more knowledge and empathy than Dr. Malik and I feel bad that he is under such a terrible rheumatologist.
After getting to know Dr Malik I realized he was somewhat quiet & very focused on his patients. I often had to keep asking questions to understand what the plan was. He is busy so I don’t find that unusual. He his young but knows his specialty very well. I was with him for about 5 years & am only leaving because we are moving to another state.
Very professional. Provided excellent care and advice.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
