List of Aspen Dental's Reviews
The employees were very friendly and nice! Would definitely come again.
Non transparent billing practices. Recommends most invasive treatment. DONT DO IT! I went here when I just moved to Spring Hill for a routine check up and cleaning. They noticed a cavity and the doctor recommended a crown for it saying that a filling will not hold long term. They wanted payment up front before the procedure. With insurance I think it was about $600. But I had a bad feeling about it and went to Dental Care of Spring Hill for a second opinion. Turns out a $60 filling takes care of my issue and I got that done the same day at Dental Care of Spring Hill. So I cancelled my appointment at Aspen and asked for a refund. Also, I noticed something funny about the billing for my routine exam and cleaning. They previously told me that my insurance would not cover 100% of the exam and cleaning so I'd have to pay the difference. When I checked my dental insurance's explanation of benefits, it turned out that the insurance did actually cover everything. So essentially this office double dipped, got payment from the insurance and payment from me. So I pointed this out to Aspen and it took a couple of months to get all my money back, with me calling every week to ask for answer. I think they messed up the paperwork to process the refund. I doubt I would have gotten my money back if I didn't notice this and brought it up. Then I asked for a copy of my X Rays to transfer to Dental Care of Spring Hill. They could not figure out how to transfer it and I eventually had to go there in person to get the physical copies. Terrible experience. Avoid at all costs
About a year and a half ago we (the insurance and I) spent over 4 thousand on full and partial denture. the few teeth I have left I just needed to clean on may 30th but they refused because I did not want an X-ray done just for cleaning as too much radiation over time is a health risk I'm not willing to risk. they not only refused but refused to even consider my thoughts or feelings on the matter and were simply rude! I personally do not recommend this place!
I had dental work done at the Spring Hill, Tn location. The billing has been a nightmare. I carry insurance that is very clear on my out-of-pocket expenses. I had dental work done in 2019. I had been overbilled for several office copays in the same visit, procedures that I did not have, etc. In 2020, after multiple calls to their offices, and "tickets" being started and months later, I finally was able to reach a district manager who arranged for me to be refunded what I had overpaid due to overbilling. It took a lot of time to get my money back. Fast forward to March 2023. I have received a collections notice on behalf of Aspen Dental. I have not gotten a statement from them since the refunds were made. (2020) They have erroneously billed me $173- no dental codes involved and now the collection agency is sending notices. I have communicated with the collection agency however they do not seem to comprehend all of the factors involved. Outside of billing, I still would never recommend these offices. The staff has zero accountability, zero ability to do anything other than repeat quotes and look at you like a deer in headlights. The dental work was substandard in that they used cheap materials for my fillings. NEVER USE THEM! I will be reporting them to the BBB along with this review.
Dental scam! Unprofessional fear diagnosis telling me I had "severe teeth and gum issues" and wanted to charge me $8500. Went to another dentist who ran the same tests and confirmed there were no issues with gums or teeth!! Stay away from this place, it is a Scam. May take further action.
I was seen today at the Aspen Dental location in Spring Hill Tennessee. The technician was super unfriendly to me and made me feel like where I sat my water was annoying her. My hygienist worked on my tooth for 5 minutes and fell out 5 hours later. I will be waiting for a call.
I made an appointment due to severe tooth pain. After waiting almost 2 hours I found out that they may have found out the cause but they could not take care of it for weeks. In the mean time they subscribed a pain killer with no medical histroy regarding addiction. In addition they wanted $500 to schedule an appoint almost a month away to fix the pain.
I live in Nashville, but I needed a cleaning as soon as possible so I drove to Spring Hill. Ms. Cindi was absolutely amazing and very respectful. She did not rush, she gives great tips. She informs you what needs to be done as she is cleaning. I 110% recommend her.
They will lie to you and use scare tactics to make you pay for treatments that was unnecessary. They are rude to you as well. The location in Knoxville TN is a disgrace. Once I finally paid them off I've never been back and don't plan on ever returning. I went in for a simple filling and left there thousands of dollars in debt and no filled tooth. I wouldn't send me worst enemy to them.
Worse place ever .. I paid every up front and then I come in to get my permanent back teeth and they said I have to pay another 1,400 for them ... I am pissed it was all paid already.. I will never go here again or recommend this place at all very disappointing.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
