I have been coming here for years and love this place! The girls at the front desk are always super friendly and helpful. Thank you!
RUN !!! AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN !!!! DO NOT GO HERE !!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GO LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE !!!! 📢🚨 I promise you - these people are not here to help you! They are there to shake you down of any and all your money, in any possible and shady way they can! Truly DISGUSTING business practices from this sketchy place! They do not care about your mental health📣 they care about stealing your money, wasting your time and energy, and NOTHING MORE. I’ve put up with their disgraceful practices for years - and it has been by far the worst experience and most unprofessional psychiatrist office I’ve ever encountered. This place and those employed here are scum !
Three stars because of really good previous providers who are no longer here. Got assigned a new provider when two prev left & I got someone inexperienced. When I tried to switch providers, the office manager dropped me from their service after over two years with them. Wouldn’t recommend.
I have seen Dr Mckay for many years. I wish I had of met him sooner. He truly changed my life. There is absolutely nothing I don't tell him and feel comfortable doing so. Honesty in mental heath work is as important as the meds. You can tell Dr. McKay anything.
Have been coming here for a year now. The front office staff is great. Communicating with my doctor and other staff there is always quick and easy. They also get back to you quickly. Would definitely recommend coming here.
Horrible experience. $350 for an assessment only to get assigned a recent graduate who was googling basic terms during my appt. Intake documents are due 5 days before appt, one would assume to allow time to review prior to appt. The nurse I was assigned hadn’t reviewed my intake forms and I spent the appt answering the same questions. She couldn’t answer basic questions about treatment options available. Brought Dr. T in halfway through the appt and he was belittling and rude, telling me not to research medications he recommended before taking, yet not being clear and transparent about side effects, and had no knowledge about how menstrual cycle impacts medication efficacy. My two week follow up appt was rescheduled without any notification, I log in for the appt only to find it had been changed. Efforts to communicate with clinic are awful. After my rescheduled follow up I wrote an email expressing my frustration with the experience. Over a week letter I get a reply from the clinic manager offering zero solutions. The prescribed medication was unavailable. I reached out to the clinic on Thursday morning to have it sent to a different pharmacy that I had called and confirmed availability, it’s now Monday afternoon and still no response. As this is an out of network doctor I requested a super bill. I was told it would be sent 3-5 days later. It’s been over a month. I selected this doctor based on reviews, which were highly positive. My experience was not reflective of the reviews or the espoused ethos of the clinic. 0/10 would not recommend.
I have had a wonderful experience with Roots so far. They gave me the help that other providers would not. My life is a lot better because of them.
6/27/24: have had a wonderful experience with Roots so far. I'll update this if anything changes for the worse.
Sara Burgess has changed my life. I've struggled all my life with depression, anxiety and insomnia. She's the first one to really take the time, follow up and help me figure out what I needed. I feel the best I have in decades. I'd recommend her to anyone looking to improve their mental health.
I can’t speak highly enough of the effectiveness of the therapy I’ve been receiving at Roots. I came to them with a long standing depressive disorder of twenty plus years, that has not been effectively remedied with antidepressants, ECT, Tms, or neutofeedback. I was completely resigned to having a meager existence and having to die with depression, without ever knowing what it’s like to live and flourish. I’ve been doing ketamine infusions and while they don’t come cheaply, it has been life saving. Heather has accompanied me through all my treatments and played an important role.I establish my intentions with her before and after the ketamine is administered, she eases me into the experience. She has a way of finding the right words for me to immerse myself into a healing frame of mind. She stays with me throughout and I feel safe and the warmth of her spirit all contribute to the treatment. When the ketamine is wearing off, we reflect upon the experience and she escorts me out. The ketamine has been so helpful that I’ve started doing talk therapy with Emily, whom has also been excellent. From my first session with her I’ve felt understood and able to not have to hold anything back. She listens exceptionally well and I’ve benefited by every piece of advice she’s given. I just started seeing Dr McKay to sort out my past history of many antidepressant trials and he is a welcome difference from the psychs I’ve seen. If anyone out there is suffering, then I’d strongly encourage you to give them a try.I credit them for allowing me to feel relief that has alluded me and I’ve been desperately seeking for far too long.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
