Christus Santa Rosa Hospital - New Braunfels's Online Review Report Card

It was horrible. I have syncope and just needed IV fluids. When I got there I had to use the restroom, and my nurse told me to hold it sounding annoyed. They were putting EKG leads all over me lifting up my shirt and taking down my pants IN THE HALLWAY while there were men and little kids walking around. She also could not get one of the leads to stick so she slapped my arm a couple times to keep it down, after I already told her it was hurting because they used a bigger needle on my IV than usual. Since I was in the hallway, I could hear everything they were talking about and peoples addresses; things that should probably be confidential. There were plenty of open rooms, but they still kept me in the hallway because it wasn’t a children’s hospital. While I was waiting for someone to do my IV, they were all sitting eating pizza. A little later, when I was finally settling down, they brought in an intoxicated man. He was causing all kinds of trouble, and he was also kept in the hallway right behind me. At one point when they had called security he was eyeing the security guards gun. They eventually transferred me to Methodist Children's in San Antonio where I felt safe and cared for. This hospital felt like an overall unsafe, unreliable, and stressful place. Not somewhere you want to go if you need to be in a hospital.

Super staff, nurses, and doctors from the emergency room to ward registration. Everyone was very concerned about me and personable. Food was good and easy to order with cheerful happy delivery staff. Housekeeping staff was top notch, quick, efficient, and through. Everyone made a difference in my swift recovery. Aside from getting I'll, no regrets in choosing them.

Soo I’ve given millions to the Santa Rosa system in donations, my grandchild had a life threatening episode this past weekend and I instructed them to Santa Rosa New Braunfels as I have had exceptional care there in the past. Instead of flaunting my past philanthropy, I wanted to see how they performed on an average patient. Upon arrival, the ER was packed. My daughter wanted to go to Resolute (another hospital) due to the optics of the crowd and they faulted 15v min ER time. I said no, this this the BEST hospital in San Antonio. True to form, the staff at Santa Rose triaged her, got her a CAT scan and treated her in near record time, with NO intervention by me. CUDOS to the Santa Rosa staff. I am still convinced THIS THIS THE BEST HOSPITAL IN SAN ANTONIO…BAR NONE!

My wife has received great care at Christus both times we have needed urgent medical care. The doctors, staff and facilities are excellent.

if I was having a heart attack, why wasn't proper care given to me? Ultrasound was next day. food was Brough that interfered with a Cath lab. I had to beg over and over for water and ice. I had covid. multiple button presses were ignored, and I was across the hall from the nurses station! DO NOT GO HERE! I charge the staff with ignoring me because I am white.

My stay here was a good as it could be. Every nurse, doctor and anyone who worked here was amazing.

I have had a baby and a surgery here. Such a great hospital. Wonderful doctors, nurses, and staff. And I love that it still has a small town hospital feel but still with all the important updates of a modern hospital. Also love the Lactation consultant!! She's the best! So grateful this is our hospital!

I had a first time visit with a provider and was charged my copay. I have the receipt. I am now being charged for said copay. I have called and emailed the business office and no one can help me with this. This place is incompetent. You have a choice in healthcare, run away from this Christus.
