My daughter came here and they NEVER asked for her insurance card and sent the claims to the WRONG insurance. They called ONE time "as a courtesy" to get the correct information and didn't send her a bill or anything because of a DATA BREACH??????? HOW is that my daughters fault???? Then when my daughter finds out they have the wrong insurance information, she gives them the correct insurance information (which if they took a copy of the insurance card they would have had the correct claims address) they send to the correct insurance and it gets denied for TIMELY FILING and they charge my daughter the FULL amounts of the claims. They literally didn't try to contact my daughter to get the correct insurance information and they never sent my daughter a bill until it was too late. THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS!!!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU DON'T WANT ADDED STRESS AND DEPRESSION!!!! THOUGHT THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO HELP WITH THAT???

First appointment, waiting over 30mins, plus a 30min drive when I original asked for the Murray office but they sent me to Kaysville plus there’s a $100 appointment cancellation fee! Wha about my time $$$ I just wasted!

Bailey at Phoenix Rebellion Therapy has been incredibly helpful in my recovery using Neurolink therapy. Her compassionate, expert approach made each session comfortable and effective. I have been seeing Bailey at the Kaysville location for neurofeedback. She has been wonderful! Very professional and attentive during sessions. She adjusts frequency frequently and helps troubleshoot any negative symptoms. I have not personally had any billing issues that I see mentioned here. Just my copay each visit.

The therapists I dealt with were very helpful but unfortunately the billing is quite frankly an absolute joke, the reception desk is frustrating to deal with as well, I feel bad for the therapists that do a great job being drug down by the billing and reception staff.

While I can't speak for anyone else's experience, my time at Phoenix Rebellion has been nothing short of amazing. I've been coming here for years and my therapist has helped me beyond compare- it can be so difficult finding the right therapist for you but I feel at home here. They're very accepting of people, and accommodating. In my experience, the billing side of things has been mostly smooth, I haven't had issues in a long time. I'm so glad to have found this place!

I normally don’t leave reviews, but I feel an ethical obligation to warn others about my experience with this practice. I raised serious ethical concerns regarding how therapy was handled in my case, and instead of addressing them, the office cut off communication entirely. Rather than engage professionally, they: - Blocked my number from even speaking to a receptionist. - Refused to provide any follow-up after acknowledging the issue. -Shut down all dialogue instead of acting with integrity. If you are considering therapy here, be aware that this is how they handle complaints and accountability. Instead of transparency and professionalism, they prioritize avoidance and damage control. Because of their refusal to take responsibility, I will be formally escalating this case with: • The Utah Department of Professional Licensing (DOPL) • American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) Ethics Committee • The Utah Board of Examiners for Clinical Mental Health Counselors • The National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) Ethics Committee • The Utah Division of Consumer Protection • The Better Business Bureau (BBB) – Utah Chapter This is not about a bad experience; it’s about professional negligence and ethical misconduct in mental health treatment. I appreciate PRT’s response but find it concerning that instead of directly engaging with the ethical concerns raised, they are attempting to dismiss accountability through legal deflection. ▪︎ PRT states they ‘terminated contact’—confirming their unwillingness to engage in professional accountability. ▪︎ They claim to have ‘followed up multiple times,’ but their emails show only avoidance, not actual engagement. ▪︎ PRT attempts to dismiss my concerns by stating that I was ‘not a client,’ but that actually exposes an even bigger problem: their therapists are making life-altering clinical recommendations without even recognizing key psychological conditions that impact those decisions. A competent therapist should conduct due diligence before validating avoidance as a solution—especially when multiple prior therapists had already identified the issue. If PRT’s team was truly qualified, they would have recognized this instead of blindly reinforcing a self-destructive pattern. ▪︎ They cite ‘legal requirements,’ but ethics violations are separate from HIPAA compliance. I urge anyone considering this clinic to question how they handle accountability. If you raise concerns, they will likely avoid engagement rather than address the issue. This is not how ethical mental health providers operate.

I’m sorry to update my review, but I wish there were separate ratings for billing and therapy. The therapists and treatment options are truly amazing. However, the two aspects inevitably intersect, and both need to function well. Unfortunately, the billing issues are not only unreasonable but also unethical.

The reviews are absolutely accurate. Do not schedule with this facility, you will benefit more from waiting for an appointment somewhere else. This is by far the WORST most unprofessional counseling center I’ve ever worked with. 1. They charge you 30 dollars (will bill your insurance company for the full amount) for the 10 minute consultation call to see if you are a good fit. I have not ever had a place charge you for this when you are not even a client yet since they don’t have your insurance information yet. To override this they charge you $60 for your initial appointment. Worse part, they don’t even inform you of this. I found out through my insurance portal. 2. They make you put your credit card information to for them to hold, there is no option to pay in person or afterwards. You absolutely have to allow them to keep your credit card information to schedule an appointment. This I never experienced with ANY facility. After my experience in point one, I canceled all my appointments because of their reasoning behind point 1. Then they called me back to say that I am not the first to bring this up and that the owners will look into it and call me back with a solution. I felt bad for my counselor and said I will schedule one appointment, but that I want to pay afterwards or when I am billed because I don’t want this mishap happening again. That’s when I found out this policy of theirs. I should have trusted my gut then. 3. Did they call me back? Absolutely not. 4. I had canceled my appointments because the sessions were not helpful, but then I had a urgent situation come up and decided to give it another chance. I’ve been busy and had missed an appointment and was charged the $100 cancellation fee which is fine. But then I saw that I was ALSO charged a $30 co-pay for an appointment that I didn’t attend weeks in advance. And their billing department apparently is never available, like all the other reviews say. They can have that $30 oh and the other $30 that they took without telling me but I will be reporting them every where I am able to :) it truly feels so fishy.
