List of Rose Hill Health And Rehab's Reviews
PT & OT staff very competent & helpful during my loved one's time here. Dietary dept. is hit or miss & the meal delivery schedule is erratic. Nursing dept. is a complete disaster, altho' a few aides & nurses have been very good the "bad apples" spoil the bunch in this review. Phone calls to nursing desk are not answered, DON did not return calls, Medication reconciliation/administration is dangerously lacking in attention to detail/accuracy, some staff refused to tell my alert loved one the medications being given, my loved one received the wrong medication(staff denied giving the wrong medication) had a reaction prompting a 911 call due to staff not answering the telephone. Oxygen equipment is poor quality, dysfunctional & was left beeping all night long because no one could figure out the problem. NP disregarded hospital discharge orders & ordered incorrect medication dose. Medications are not procured from facility pharmacy in a timely manner, meaning the patient missed multiple doses. I hope my loved one makes it out of this facility alive, & only then will my mind be relieved.
Hostile work environment. Staff don’t perform CPR on full codes. DO NOT work or send your loved ones here.
If you value your family members life then don't send them here. My mother has only been there since January and is worse shape than when she went in.There are some nasty nurses, and NP or PA are ridiculous. She just layed in bed, and has lost over 45 lbs in less than 6 months. Bed sores and not good hygiene care....We have removed her before she gets even worse.
Please do something, this is not the place you want your family members to be sent to.
The Gold standard for PT and dedicated, lovely CNAs. Both my husband and I were patients forPT here.absolutely wonderful care. We both know we are fortunate to have spent about six weeks here. we-are sorry ee could not be part of the many activities because of the virus. Our loss since we enjoyed most of our time here. Dorene talked mrthrough my fears and Daphne is ajoy to have been part of our lives as well as all staff. If I had PT right after my stroke here instead of another assisted living home I would not have the contractors I have now. Thank you from both of us!
I was an employee for almost 20yrs. Never did I think to move on. That was my second home which I poured my heart and soul into everyday. However I took the leap and did move on not regretting a single time that I did so. All I ask is for anyone person looking to place a loved one in a facility of care DO NOT CHOOSE ROSE HILL. You want to make sure that your loved one receives top notch care and believe me I have seen enough and been there to know that that the one's who does the least are the ones that is still there. Only a few less than you can count on your hand has a high ethical standard to take care of another human being.
The ammonia level and nose burning smell of urine makes it difficult to breathe in this facility. I give it 1 Star because there is no negative rating on the scale.Horrible.
Having employees rate a establishment is poor managment and decieving. My ex-husband was moved there and it was not his choice. His insurance chose it for him or he would have to pay out of pocket. The information that safety grips and bars and other care needs HAD to be removed are B.S Virginia State Law for rehabilitation assisted living medical facilities care centers etc. MUST have proper equiptment and safety precautions in place.

I put 3 stars simply because it was the only way I could comment.to those families that make such negative comments1: you had other options and YOU CHOSE Rosehill2: Before YOU placed your loved one there YOU toured the facility and had opportunity to speak on anything that concerned you.3: Virginia laws have changed a great deal in this field therefore we cannot have things such as guard rails or anything that may be view as a restraint to protect a resident that may be deem as a high risk fallen star. what we do in those instances is as a CNA make sure the bed is in its lowest position, fall mats are in place and make rounds on the resident. As longterm care SCNA I have traveled through agencies to assist the staffing issues we face in ALL LONG TERM CARE FACILITIESwe really do attend to the residents with respect and care ,we already view our residents knowing they could be our family member or someday us, if we live as long. BUT NEVER EVER THINK THE STAFF DONT CARE. This feild requires more than just changing a resident and you have to keep in mind, were only human, if its something you can do like get mom some ice, then do it, dont put the call light on and complain we took too long to bring ice when were in another room, YOU GO GET IT. no one can care for your love one better then you .Mean talking how we care givers work or the condition of the facility is, just consider keeping mom home or find a way to help improve a situation. VOLUNTEER at the facility stay a while and visit. Most family members come random and complain every single time and when they do visit its never lonher than 15 minutes and somehow you find a way to complain.Consider your end and where you want to spend your days before you place your love one in any facility

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
