I put 3 stars simply because it was the only way I could comment.to those families that make such negative comments1: you had other options and YOU CHOSE Rosehill2: Before YOU placed your loved one there YOU toured the facility and had opportunity to speak on anything that concerned you.3: Virginia laws have changed a great deal in this field therefore we cannot have things such as guard rails or anything that may be view as a restraint to protect a resident that may be deem as a high risk fallen star. what we do in those instances is as a CNA make sure the bed is in its lowest position, fall mats are in place and make rounds on the resident. As longterm care SCNA I have traveled through agencies to assist the staffing issues we face in ALL LONG TERM CARE FACILITIESwe really do attend to the residents with respect and care ,we already view our residents knowing they could be our family member or someday us, if we live as long. BUT NEVER EVER THINK THE STAFF DONT CARE. This feild requires more than just changing a resident and you have to keep in mind, were only human, if its something you can do like get mom some ice, then do it, dont put the call light on and complain we took too long to bring ice when were in another room, YOU GO GET IT. no one can care for your love one better then you .Mean talking how we care givers work or the condition of the facility is, just consider keeping mom home or find a way to help improve a situation. VOLUNTEER at the facility stay a while and visit. Most family members come random and complain every single time and when they do visit its never lonher than 15 minutes and somehow you find a way to complain.Consider your end and where you want to spend your days before you place your love one in any facility
