Shaila H. Gala's Online Review Report Card

I will always remember Dr. Gaila. She will always hold a special place in my heart. When I was gravely ill with an autoimmune disease in 2012, Dr. Gala provided expert care and compassion above and beyond any physician I have ever met. I feel sure that she may have saved my life.

I was seen by Dr. Gala a few years ago for chronic pain and suspected arthritis. She misdiagnosed me and attributed my pain to weight and fibromyalgia, despite a vast family history of multiple forms of arthritis. Dr. Gala refused to test me for HLA-B27, a common indicator of AS. Over the following years I have had several medical complications because of this misdiagnosis and her refusal to properly administer tests. I am now seeing a new rheumatologist who tested me for HLA-B27 and gave me a proper diagnosis.

Dr Gala is so impressive in her care for my mom. She listens actively and does not try and overpromise on treatment or cures to this chronic disease. Her intelligence is only eclipsed by her kindness and dedication to her patients.

She’s the one who diagnosed me with my arthritis but eventually everything got blamed on fibromyalgia. It turned out to be an allergy to NSAI meds that became unmanageable after I started the prescription strength version. Had to leave her because it was all falling on deaf ears. Seeking another provider now because Humira has been the only relief I’ve found.

She is very intelligent however I didn’t learn much and felt diminished after every visit. The focus was completely decided by her, she spoke so loudly that I felt uncomfortable by how many people outside the cubicle heard the private conversation. In the end she was very focused on her own thoughts and ignored my obvious problems outside what the pathologist made clear as the only path. Didn’t want me as a patient so I ended up so uncomfortable by the treatment I was forced to leave, instead of her terminating me as a patient; very forceful of her ideas when we first met. Wouldn’t suggest if you’re a trauma patient or have an incomplete EMR, very suspicious dr.

Dr Gala is one of the best doctors I’ve had through the years. Along with professionalism, she is very kind. She’s very in tune with the needs of the patient.

Dr. Shaila Gala is a great Rhuemotologist! She is very patient and it shows that she truly cares about her patients! She shows that she is concerned about your health and wants to help in every way she can! I have only seen her 3 times and I am very impressed by her actions and how she shows she cares about your health. My husband had done some research and thought she would be a great doctor for me and he is absolutely right! I would highly recommend Dr. Shaila Gala if your looking for a great, knowledgeable, caring, and understanding Rhuemotologist!

Can I just say first that Dr Gala is LOVELY! Her demeanor is warm and kind. A friend of mine recommended Dr Gala, and I am so very pleased. She came in prepared and knowledgeable of my history, symptoms, previous labs, etc., and it was very apparent that she spent the time to understand the entirety of my records. My concerns were approached with compassion, and something about her is simply comforting. She was very thorough. She explained many possible causes for different symptoms, and what her plan of action was to identify such and why. All in all, I am very pleased with my experience with her and look forward to future visits, despite the circumstances.

I had to tell her the history of my finger pain, and she listens to me! She gave me the most undivided attention I needed for the time I was there. I love that is very knowledgeable and shes very detailed.. Im pleased to have met her!
