I’ve been a routine, committed patient for over 6 years with the same prescriber. He quit. I wasn’t notified because of a admin error on their part and when asking for my routine refills I was denied and told to go to the ER. I was originally told other providers were providing bridges for medication until they can see a new provider. I was denied that. I was told to go to the ER which is $400 or pcp which is $50 and I told them I only have so much to my name and it’s not even enough to pay the medication copay let alone copays for other providers. My medicine prevents mood fluctuations and suicidal ideation. I run out Friday. I hope I don’t decline and end up in the hospital or even worse dead, because they abandoned my care. I have never felt so scared and stranded.

My therapist was great, and they are affordable if you have Medicare. However, the repeated ad nauseum process with so much duplication is enough to make the suicidal finally pull the trigger, the obsessive to circle around doing the same thing over and over until they miss their appointment and die of starvation, and those who just need help to give up on them and write reviews like this.

Dr. Lewis over reacted about son.Will NEVER GO BACK TO LIFESTANCE IN GREEN. Plus they're way over priced..Don't ever go there.

At first Lifestance seemed to be a good choice. They accepted my insurance, it take me a minute to find a therapist but once I did it was great. Then they let my therapist go with no explanation or notice. They didn’t tell me that my sessions were canceled. The appointments still showed in my patient portal. Cancellations have to be done 48 hrs in advance but if you have a Monday or Tuesday appointment it has to be done by Thursday or Friday the week before. Today I received a statement stating that I owe over $300 from 2024. Lifestance needs to get it together.

Updated my insurance to my current insurance which LifeStance is in networks. After an appointment to check in and update my meds I received a call that I didn’t pay my bill. They tried charging me the cash price and never even ran my new insurance. I called the following day and spoke to billing which assured me it was now updated and my appointment was never ran as a claim through my insurance but would process it then. I had an appointment the day after and the balance was still there and I was blocked from completing checkin to my telehealth appointment without paying the erroneous charge that wasn’t run through my insurance which I even uploaded pictures of my card through the patient portal. The Drs and therapists are great but this company is a sham. They cause harm through unnecessary mental distress by blocking appointments through an automated system unless you pay a balance that they messed up. This caused me to not be able to see my therapist on Saturday while going through an extremely difficult situation. I recommend staying far away from LifeStance. I’m reminded of the oath to first do no harm, this company doesn’t not care about causing harm to its patients. Seek your mental health needs anywhere else.

Laura Smigielski was recommended. If you look at her credentials she sounds good… on paper… what a bunch of lies!! We had a session with her that can only be labeled as cruel. Instead of providing sincere, positive recommendations on how to improve mental health and the current situation, she berated us, told us how we’ve had this problem for a while and “why haven’t you done anything about it yet.” She said “what’s wrong with your face”… seriously, who says that? Insensitive, cruel, degrading, and then had the gall to ask when we wanted our next session. No thank you, never again. This woman should not be in business counseling anybody. What a disgrace to the profession. July 2026
