Great hospital really friendly and caring staff
I highly recommend St. Mary's Medical Center! Yesterday, my mother's doctor, Dr. Giebel, performed eye surgery in the Day Surgery Department at St. Mary's and the whole thing couldn't have gone more smoothly. We were greeted quickly, assisted with the intake and directed to the Day Surgery Department. Although my mother was hesitant about having eye surgery, the staff put her at ease by fully answering her questions and treating her as a person as much as a patient. And while some healthcare experiences feel impersonal, this was not the case here at all.Having worked in healthcare for over 15 years, I understand the many things that go on behind the scenes to make it all happen and I was completely impressed with how detailed, efficient and friendly each person was. Since I live 4 hours away, I am thrilled to know that such a wonderfully competent and friendly team are available if we need them.
Conflicting and confusing posts that don’t match the in-person experience.
The worst
Not a safe place for people with disabilities or color especially in the ER with doctors like Renee Shearer. I would not trust her medical decisions.
Went for MRI. I experienced friendly efficient service and care.
Rent-a-Doc Fermen Gordita has horrible bed side manner. I hope if he ever gets sick he gets treated better than he treats his patients.
Don’t go to the ER here with post surgery complications. They do not care about anyone. We are need up leaving and going to Kadlec in tri cities to get care. When I told providence she was in too much pain to keep Waiting they literally said “ok bye!” Didn’t even try to help. Just did not care.
I need to get to hold to someone high up at the hospital (St. Mary's). I have a friend who was taken out of ICU too early unable to hold her oxygen levels above 80 and the staff is allowing her to get into the 60s and not show up. This is happening multiple times a day. I understand the hospital is busy but this is very much lack of care. It isn't just the nursing staff that is an issue. They are going to end up killing her and they will blame it on COVID.
I moved here in 69 St Mary's was a wonderful wonderful hospital have people that cared I might be very few people to give a review like this but Providence is the reason why I don't have a leg Providence St Mary's is also the reason why I don't have my mom I've been told I was flashing an aid when I was just using my urinal and the nurse was there put me in a room with an old security guard asked him what he was there for he said so I didn't hurt anybody charge nurse came and told me they could press charges against me make a long story short I got up and walked out of the hospital just after I bypass surgery had 137 Staples in my leg from groin to ankle. Two doctors that I will not name are the reason why I am the way I am sent me to rehab saying that I had tendonitis when it was DVT for 3 months I suffered almost killed me 2 weeks after I was diagnosed I went into the ER one of the ER doctors is still there took an x-ray said something looks a little funny but you keep on doing what you're doing almost killed me now I don't have a leg and that's been like 4 years ago. That's a short version of my story my mom's version she had nothing wrong with her cardiologist of St Mary's said pretty if you ever want to have your arteries looked at in your heart you just let us know my mom is a little hypochondriac lover to death anyway one of her friends talked her into it she went in just a check well they didn't listen to what medical records has said by using a pediatric camera they didn't her groin area but when they got to the upper arteries they chose not to use that and tore her artery pulling it out started dying right then bleeding internally but she was standing in the cardiologist's office but not on Facebook because he said pretty your heart's perfect you arteries look great she was dead and less than 48 hours never have I got we're sorry kiss my butt anything for anything so they're lucky I give them two stars now when I go there they just life like me to either spoke hand or Cadillac thank God. And as I lay here right in this review I might have mercy again and I just got rid of it St Mary's flew me to Cadillac after I got my leg amputated I got MRSA had to have vancomycin a PICC line for 6 weeks a wound vac for 6 weeks and now I got to go back to the hospital tomorrow I'm worried. you know what's bad is that the cardiologist and Cadillac cuz my mom was in hermiston and Good Shepherd wasn't able to deal with her heart attack that she should not have had the cardiologist at Cadillac covered up for the cardiologist in Walla Walla all because I had to open up my mouth and say the cardiologist and Walla walla's name next thing I know he's wanting to do autopsies two weeks he said for the autopsy to be ready for months and then he wanted me to come in the office so he could explain it to me saying that she died of an enlarged heart well how can that be when the cardiologist and wildlife just said that your heart was perfect and your arteries were a great and then a 48 hours later you're dead and you died of an enlarged heart well that's only obvious and it doesn't take a rocket scientist all organs are porous I guarantee Oliver organs were enlarged which also made her life insurance not pay out Saint Mary's it might do in a pinch but don't rely on them too much I couldn't get a attorney to touch either one of these as I see and I even have friends as nurses saying malpractice but yet I didn't get anything I even called their complaint department and got nothing not even a sorry so be careful when you go to St Mary's

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
