Quick and efficient just to where I like it
I had a great experience at California Dermatology Institute! My visit was right on time, which I really appreciated. The office is clean, well-organized, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Kelly, the PA, was especially wonderful, she was knowledgeable, kind, and took the time to explain everything clearly. I felt comfortable and well cared for. Highly recommend this office for anyone looking for quality dermatology care.
I waited almost 2 months for my appointment. I am shown into a tiny 5x10’ exam room. Met by a lady physician assistant that made no attempt to greet me with any kind of friendly report. She went straight to the notes of my authorization that was to check my full body skin and a spot that had been recommended to be removed last year but that was very small. And also 2 other minor issues. When i said what i need to check all of my skin. She immediately started be defensive and said she only had 10 minutes and the appointment was only for checking the spot. At that time i felt uncomfortable and said your tone is not very friendly. She responded i don’t need to be friendly, i am a medical provider. From there it was a total useless appointment. She almost turned around ready to leave. I had to make sure that she at least took a picture of the spot to see if it had grown. She took the picture without saying anything. I still don’t know if the spot is unchanged or if it has grown. I insisted that this experience need to be adressed and i as the patient should be able to feel comfortable and not like a stressed animal pushed through a process much like a machine. She agreed that it was like a machine. I am grateful for my good health, but wow! This system is broken beyond repair. It is inhumane! Joakim

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
