List of Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center's Reviews
I had an appointment with APRN Mark Lin. He was polite, but he was dismissive. He did not do a physical examination but wrote in the medical chart that he did. I had to contact patient experience to report this incident and another person who's name has escaped me (T. Harrison) and who never got back to me a week later, so that I could get a second opinion. He tried to kick me back to another specialty despite my lab work being normal. All-in-all, he did not do an actual consultation. I have no answers, no ultrasounds/MRIs for confirmation despite my ongoing symptoms/issues for over a year. I will most likely have to go somewhere else because this facility is dismissive, lies, no accountability, and does not help.
I have been a patient of UHealth since 2019. Today was my first time at this facility. My experience was great. They called me within minutes of my arrival. I was in and out within an hour. Most of the other UM facilities I have been to only have coffee in the waiting rooms. My husband discovered that here, along with the coffee machine, they have water, juice and snacks in their waiting room. We don't live in Miami so after a long drive, little details like that are greatly appreciated.
This center is outstanding, the staff are like soft human highly trained people who really know how to make the patient feel well kept so much in those moments of fragility The nurse practitioner manager is amazingly attentive and with high care for each one of us I felt the best treated in this center! All the staff since entering the center. No words to express my feelings of thanks
UHealth as a whole is lacking in the area of customer service and operations. For starters, my appointment was made for the wrong location, then the doctor’s office never replied to my request to change it. Then, they called me the day before the appt to tell me the oncologist was not going to be there. I was seen by Gloria (ARNP) and she was amazing, but unfortunately that is not how I feel about UHealth. I arrived at 9am, they did the lab work shortly after which was great, but I waited for over four hours before I was able to do my CTU treatment. This means I spent most of my day at the hospital for no good reason. Completely unacceptable…Never coming back to this location. What a disaster!
Run like a Swiss watch! Dr Jose Lutzky MD & Jeanelle King PA are amazing professionals top Doc’s in USA and surrounded by the best team of professional staff in South Florida and beyond. It’s the staff that makes this facility great! Thank you for your help and kindness The Patient from Hell!
Excelencia, profecionalismo, limpieza, integridad,Buena combinación con Hospital de la Universidad de Miami
They took very good care of someone very close to me and I truly appreciate them all!!!
Great hospital
I really don't understand the other review because I've never waited more than 10 minutes, and I've been there more than once. Super professional, kind, and compassionate staff. They treated me like the queen I am.
Doctors and staff are very friendly and professional, BUT as far as billing and medical records go there is a lot to be desired. In the 5yrs I've been dealing with my cancer I've never had such a problem with obtaining my scan reports as I have since I 've been going to Sylvester the last 6 months. I travel there so it's not like I can just swing by and pick it up and they CHARGE you to mail it when or if you get it.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
