Everything about my experience here has been excellent. The hospital staff, care has over exceeded my expectations.
I went to the ER on the 19th for severe pain in my back and hip area and a sharp pain through my chest when I arrived they got me right in. I got an ekg and xray on my chest and hip/lower back. They took blood and urine. They claimed I received morphine which did absolutely nothing for my pain at all. I've never taken morphine before so I have no idea what it feels like. Zero dofference in my level of pain. Dr came in 2 hours after arriving which was about 11pm to release me and tell me nothing was wrong with me. He asked me what I wanted him to do. I said a mri would be nice to know what the problem was. He said the mri machine was for people that were having strokes. I asked him how my blood and urine test were and he said perfect. As I already knew they didn't test anything because they were right where they left them. Urine sample was on the sink where I left it and the two tubes of blood were on the table. When I asked the Dr how they tested something that was still there he claims they took a sample with a doppler. Lol which never happened. They left me in that room until 1:30am while they all sat at the nurses station chatting. I took my tubes off, 20 stickers bp cuff and attempted to remove my iv when I called for assistance. Nurse came in and said he was waiting for the incompetent Dr to release me. I told him I was released at 11pm and he didn't even have a clue what was going on. This would be my 2nd experience with st Luke's being the worst hospital. #stlukeshospital #worsthospital
They were very professional and did their best to expedite me through the process of figuring out what was going on with my heart. It's a very clean hospital and the staff are very friendly and compassionate. It's a popular place after five.. Just FYI.
This hospital has a beautiful facility, an outstanding nursing staff, and, in my experience, provides excellent care. I would highly recommend checking them out if you're in the Treasure Valley area. While there are also St. Luke's locations in Meridian and Boise, I found the Nampa location especially convenient. The layout is well-designed, making it easy to navigate. I had no trouble at all finding where I needed to go, which really helped reduce any stress during my visit.
I was first taken to the Urgent Care at St. Lukes Medical Center in Nampa. The staff was quick, professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Due to low oxygen levels, I was immediately taken to the Emergency Room. I waited a short time for a nurse to come and take me to the ER. The staff was still very nice, knowledgeable, and professional. They made me feel that they were listening and would ensure that I would be cared for. The ER nurses were amazing. Tests were taken. I was then admitted to the hospital for further care. I was transferred to another room. 3 nurses received me. One nurse made me feel like I was not important at all. During my 5 day stay, I had mostly wonderful nurses, however, I had a few that did not listen or hear me. The last doctor I saw did not listen to me. I was getting discharged quickly and no referral in the notes yet. When I was getting dressed to leave I felt a severe pain in my side. I could not move. I called the nurse multiple times . A nurse assistant came 40 minutes later. Nobody knew what was causing the pain. I was made to feel like they just wanted the bed. Someone ordered an image to be taken. The image taken showed nothing, the doctor did not come and examine me, ask me any questions, only sent the discharge papers through. It was late so. The following day I spoke with the follow-up nurse and I asked about the referral. She said there weren't any notes about a referral. She then transferred me to the nurse's station which would have been close to the room I was in. I spoke to a nurse who stated that there was nothing on the notes and that since I had been discharged I would have to have my primary doctor order the referral. I was furious! I went online into Mychart read through the notes, and noticed so many discrepancies. So much information was missing including any notes from oxygen treatments to the pain I was having during my stay and on the last day of my stay. I understood that the hospital was overwhelmed with having so many patients, however, that is no excuse to treat the patients like they don't matter and, not take proper and complete notes after talking with a patient. I have been home for 2 weeks, still on oxygen, occasionally still have the pain on my side, nauseated, and coughing. The Urgent Care and ER departments were wonderful, in listening, kindness, professionalism, knowledge, and care. Sadly, the few that were not good at what they do are going to be the reason that I would never go there again! I will always remember the amazing nurses who did their job!!!
Dr. Richard Morris, urologist extraordinaire, apparently moonlights as a master of the five-minute dismissal. 5 years ago I came in with urethral pain and a prostate that felt like a swamp, armed with a single sheet of symptoms I’d painstakingly written out. Did he glance at it? Nope—too much effort for the good doctor. After a lightning-fast exam, he stared into my soul and delivered his genius diagnosis: ‘Some people just have pain.’ Deep, Doc. Really profound stuff. Then he tossed me a prescription for meloxicam and shooed me out like I was a stray cat. Spoiler alert: meloxicam didn’t fix me—it tanked me. A month later, I’m pooping blood, wondering if this is my life now, all because Dr. Morris couldn’t be bothered to dig deeper than a toddler with a plastic shovel. Side effects? Root causes? Pelvic floor issues? Diet? Nah, why bother with any of that when you can slap a Band-Aid on a train wreck and call it a day? I was a mess—heartburn, misery, the works—and this guy didn’t have the time or decency to even hint at what might actually be wrong. Five years later, I’ve clawed my way back to health with research, pelvic exercises, and a total diet overhaul—no thanks to him. People say I look like a new man now, but back then? Dr. Morris left me at rock bottom with a pill and a shrug. If you want a doctor who treats you like a human being instead of a five-minute inconvenience, look elsewhere. This guy’s too busy playing whack-a-mole with symptoms to care about, you know, actually helping.
I spent 6 hours in the emergency room and I don't even want to know how much all of that is going to cost me just to go home with the same issue. I came in complaining about severe kidney pain and they tested me for every single thing besides my kidney just to send me home saying maybe I have pneumonia and gave me antibiotics that won't even help my kidney. I've been home three days in the same excruciating pain but cannot financially afford to be played with again. Your emergency room nurses were great but both doctors were absolute jokes and didn't listen to a single concern I had. I'm honestly so scared for my health you don't just play around with severe kidney pain....
I'm so grateful to the staff at St. Luke's in Nampa. I took my daughter in for a heart condition on Sunday around noon. The attending and medical staff gave patient excellent attention and care. I have had terrible experiences at another emergency hospital closer to my home so we came to St. Luke's instead! Thank you so much for taking great care of my daughter!
From the receptionist to the nurse, the chech-in process was professional, painless and smooth. After a 3 minute wait the doctor came in and greeted me like an old friend. She discussed different treatment options and we agreed together what to move to next. I was escorted back to the front desk to schedule follow up appointments and medications. The whole appointment was as smooth as glass and well run.
Once again this Hospital shines in everything it does in patient care, safety, empathy and overall experience. My wife and I have lived in the Nampa area for 6 years now and have had 5 different experiences with having to visit this hospital. Every time we have walked through these doors the staff has made us feel comfortable and connected. My latest visit was a scheduled right hip replacement surgery by Dr. Chlebeck. The surgical team was absolutely 100% at the top of their game. From check in to the prep staging area and personnel they were awesome. Meeting with the anesthesiologist before hand and into the surgery room was a comfortable experience and they made me feel at ease in their ability to get this procedure done right. Next thing I knew I was being woken up and recovering. I thought wow they just put me to sleep and now I'm about wide awake. The pain/sleep medication had me feeling great afterwards. The person in charge of making sure I was recovering fine was "Tyler". Tyler asked right out of the gate if there was anything he could do for me. Having not eaten for quite awhile I responded "how about a pizza?" His response blew me away! He said "sure we can make that happen". In short order I had a small pepperoni pizza in front of me and a private area to wait with my wife for our room to be ready. Our great experience did not end there. The great service extended to the room in which I stayed along with each nurse that came through the door and the quality of food being made in the cafeteria. Thank you St. Luke's
