I worked with Angela who is so knowledgeable & really worked with me to get my left shoulder back to normal. It was my first time going to PT so I had my own preconceived notions, and honestly was not looking forward to it. But, Angela’s expertise paired with her personable nature, really warmed me to PT and after 2 sessions with her, I immediately started to feel better and able to move my shoulder more. Along with Angela, Brittany also assisted me on some workout routines who was also personable and knowledgeable. The front desk ladies were also very kind and jovial, which usually helps set my tone to be in a good mood to get to work lol. Overall, great staff & easy/convenient location to get to.
I Always have great care here, they are knowable and very skilled in their treatment.
I worked with Maricar (Kai) for a couple months and had such a great experience. I was amazed at how quickly she identified the source of my pain and how soon I began to feel better - I'm now fully healed. Kai was incredibly kind, attentive, and supportive throughout the process, and I genuinely enjoyed my sessions with her. The entire office has such a positive and welcoming energy. I can’t recommend this place enough and will absolutely return if I ever need physical therapy again!
Keena is theeeeeeeee best PT, absolutely helpful. Entire staff very friendly and professional. 10 out of 10 I recommend!
I went to Motion to help with a long-time issue with my hip. They were fantastic! Everyone was so friendly, and my therapist Maricar (nickname:Kai) was fantastic. My hip is better than ever! I was glad to be all healed up but sad to say goodbye to the team!
Friendly nice people. When you walk in it’s fun, all easy going, small chat and so on. When you leave you surprisingly tired, feeling every muscle…
I saw three different therapists here, Angel, Keena, and John for a shoulder injury. I referred three different people to them. I even took my mom to see them when she was visiting and was having back pain. I thought the therapy sessions were very good, particularly because they do a lot of manual therapy, more than most other PTs I've been to. Recently, I made an appointment for to take my daughter to see them, as she has plantar fasciitis and has been in a lot of pain. It took almost two weeks to get an initial appointment for her but because I had a good experience before, I thought it was worth waiting. They confirmed that they take my insurance (I have a different insurance plan than I used to--Aetna now), but that I may have to pay my deductible if it has not been met yet. This seemed typical so I agreed. Then, four hours before the actual appointment, they called to tell me that because my insurance deductible has not been met, the cost of the visit would be $950. (I have a different insurance plan than I used to.) I asked how much it would have been if I had no insurance and was paying out of pocket, and they said $125. They could not explain why they would charge $950 to someone with insurance but only $125 to someone with no insurance. They said when you have insurance, the therapists use certain billing codes since they are part of the Montefiore hospital system, and that's just how it is. I find this wildly unethical, so I cancelled this appointment and will be looking for a more ethical practice.
I went to Motion with a very painful calf muscle tear or stretch. After one treatment I was way better and never needed to return. Thanks, Motion and Kai Aberilla. She's a champ.
Went here over 6 months ago twice only because what they had me sign as verification of benefits and what they verbally confirmed with me didn’t match what my insurance ended up charging me. Make sure you ask them repeatedly to confirm what your verification of benefits will be compared to what your insurance will charge you. My first initial visit somehow cost less than my second visit where my therapist had to leave early for personal reasons which were known beforehand. If that was the case, why not not take a patient at that time? The actual therapist was fine - just neutral - except for when they left early and passed me on to someone else and also the insurance / billing communication and correspondence.
I had rotator cuff issues that I've been wrestling with for roughly a year. I tried some PT at JAG and quickly figured out it was a terrible fit. A sports doctor sent me to Motion instead and there I worked with Maricar (Kai) Aberilla. She is wonderful. I highly recommend anyone ask for her specifically. She's incredibly knowledgeable and, long story short, fixed the problem, including diagnosing what probably caused them and giving me exercises to prevent them going forward. A+

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
