List of Nyu Langone Obstetrics And Gynecology Associates's Reviews
I had a horrible experience with NUY Gynecology during my pregnancy. They constantly switched doctors, and every time I came in, the new doctor had no idea what was going on with my pregnancy. They were always late for my appointments — I would sit in the room for up to an hour waiting, and when someone finally came in, they were rushed and never made me feel like they cared about me or my baby. The reception staff is extremely rude and unfriendly, especially when you call with questions or concerns. The worst part was when I was 37 weeks pregnant, and they cancelled my appointments for no reason. Completely unprofessional behavior. If you’re pregnant, do not go there. It’s not a place where you will feel supported or taken care of.
Absolutely terrible experience. We drove for an hour across the city, stood in line in Manhattan, and then waited again inside the facility — only to be told that we were “one minute late,” and they canceled our appointment. I was there with a newborn baby in my arms, and they still refused to provide any service or assistance. The staff were completely inflexible and showed zero understanding or professionalism. After all the time and effort it took to get there, this was unacceptable. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Awful experience during my pregnancy. I showed up on time for my appointment, and they told me they were fully booked and that I could “just wait and see” if someone cancels. I’m 36 weeks pregnant, it’s extremely hard for me to get here, and instead of respecting my scheduled time, they acted like my appointment didn’t matter at all. Completely unorganized and inconsiderate. I’ll be looking for a different place that actually values their patients.
I was running 10 minutes late for my appointment. I called ahead of time and let the office know that I’m running late and they said it’s okay. When I got to the office they said that they can take me today. Cherry on top, they offered me to sit and wait, in case if someone not going to come they can take me. I don’t have time to sit around and wait possibly that they may or may not see me today. I left 2 month old baby with a babysitter to come to this appointment. Horrible customer service. Never coming back.
As a black woman, I honestly do not feel safe here. I’m scared that me and/ or my baby will die under their care. We are more likely to die during childbirth/ bearing & places like this do not increase our chances…. I am 7 months and every appointment has been with someone new. I’ve only seen the same doctor (Chioma) TWICE. After the anatomy scan, they stop checking on baby and do the bare minimum (Doppler). They do not respond to messages & when they do, the responses seem snarky (April specifically). Constantly OVERBOOKED with hours waiting between sonograms (the 3 you will get your entire pregnancy if you’re lucky)… The Sono Tech (Svitlana Kupchynska) is extremely cold and condescending (let’s add lazy). I asked for a 3D scan being that I won’t be able to see baby again after my last one & she barely attempted a decent scan. Left with 1 photo of baby. Concierge anytime you call before 10AM is often NASTY with attitude & talk to you as though you’re bothering them or that they know better than you do. NYU has definitely fallen from grace. These doctors do not care about your health or baby’s wellbeing. They are not attentive, it’s almost reminiscent of a slaughter house. Everyone is rushed in & rushed out. UPDATE: After weeks of complaining about pain that went ignored by Dr. Kim, they’re advice was to go to the ER instead of trying to see me in office for what may be a life threatening complication. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS. They make CLAIMS that you can schedule your appointment online for whatever reason & when you do so, they IMMEDIATELY CANCEL & Tell you that you must be approved by a doctor for a visit. Please shut this place down. UPDATE 2: After practically forcing them to give a proper ultrasound after lack of fetal movement, the Ultrasound was NEVER looked over. I have ZERO notes on the status of my baby as of my last appointment with Ramkrishna Sharma, MD, MPH, (someone new, again) Terrible bedside manner & extremely dismissive, had a rebuttal for ANYTHING I said. Looked further into my file at NYU to notice incorrect medical history from YEARS ago 😵💫 I genuinely hate this place. PLEASE AVOID IF YOU ARE PREGNANT
Radiology on 6th floor was horrible
Awful experience
Visited them early in pregnancy and really astounded at the lack of competency and professionalism. During my brief tenure as a patient, all of the following happened: - misspelled my name Jill as “Gill”, even though I spelled it out for them when making the appointment, which meant I had to fill out forms to correct it at the appt - lost my insurance info even though I gave it twice over phone - sonographer was 53 minutes late to my appt, which almost made me late for my second appt - sonographer got into a fight and was yelling at her mother on the phone in the middle of my appointment - they lost my husband’s medical record even though he had visited NYU Langone 6 months prior - OB appt consisted of the DO reading through the packet they give you to take home - all questions take 3-4 business days for a response, even if it’s medical in nature - drew my blood for a carrier screening test. When I never got the results, they told me it was ordered, but never submitted to the lab (they had no idea why) and I had to come in and redo it This all happened in the ONE visit I had with them. Shocked that this is the quality at such a big institution — needless to say, I immediately switched to Weill Cornell, where the quality of care is 20x better.
This office is terribly unprofessional. I have called FOUR times to get a prescription for my breast pump. I ordered my breast pump three weeks ago and now I’m full-term and they still have not filled my prescription. They took two weeks to return my WIC form completed to me. When I requested it at my appointment They didn’t give it to me. Had to call multiple times as well. You have to harass them over and over to get the care you need. It’s been extremely stressful. At my last visit, my due date was incorrect. Not sure how they messed that up. They told me they ran out of the RSV vaccine on the last day of my pregnancy where I’m able to get it. I’m 37 weeks pregnant and it’s too late to switch providers for me but please, if you’re reading this seek better care for yourself and your child.
The entire NYU Langone system is outstanding — from their caring, timely, and professional staff and doctors to their superb app and online portal. Results, doctor’s notes, and updates appear immediately after each visit. Facilities are high-end, spotless, modern, and beautiful. I was 22 weeks pregnant when I contacted them to transfer my OB care after a frustrating experience elsewhere. I urgently needed my 20-week scan and other checkups. NYU immediately scheduled me for the soonest available slot, arranging both my office visit and advanced ultrasounds on the same day and same location for maximum convenience. Sending them my previous records was simple and fast via email — and unlike other places, they didn’t get hung up on minor missing documents. They cared first and foremost about my health and urgency, which is exactly how a medical team should operate. Highly recommend NYU Langone OB/GYN for anyone who wants compassionate, efficient, and professional pregnancy care.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
