My challenge with this practice is that it is hard to get a hold of your Doctor when you need to speak with them. Messages do not get responded to in a timely manner and appointments only last 15 minutes -- which does not allow for sufficient time to discuss concerns. On call doctors are rude and only treat emergencies. While a few of the nurses such as Lance are excellent, the rest do the bare minimum in terms of communication / showing you how to use equipment.
My mom's Opthamologist, Dr. Richard Levy, splits his time between here and 1305 York Avenue. I prefer this office based on distance from Brooklyn, but surgeries are performed at 1305 York. The entire team here are professional and deliver top notch performance. The front desk staff are spot on and just accommodating, the check out experience is accurate and fast paced. The office layout is spacious and immaculate. I can't say enough about Dr. Levy who has treated my mom's aneurysm for 10 years and there is complete trust in his capabilities. All in all a consistently great experience.
Hello All. This review is for the amazing care and hospitality that Nurse Crystal C. provides. She never fails to approach every patient with kindness and respect. In her care I received my first 'normal' blood pressure reading and was mesmerized. I switched to the doctor she was attending immediately who is also very attentive and will be receiving her own review. I wanted to add that being pregnant is already incredibly stressful, with millions of appointments and at times communication issues but Nurse Crystal is makes visiting the office worth it with her professionalism and warmth.
We found Dr. Zide very impatient and dismissive. He performed surgery on my boyfriend and refused to give him any type of pain meds despite him ALREADY being in severe pain, lacking sleep and could barely walk! He actually said "oh, you'll feel better after surgery!" - I told him not to sign the surgery consent until they addressed his pain, they finally called in a few days of Tylenol 3s which made no sense to me as he was already taking extra strength Tylenol without relief. I get that there's an opioid problem, but when you're in tears and cannot walk from a massive hole in your leg, then you get surgery to have a wound vac installed, don't you think that warrants SOMETHING? Of course the Tylenol 3s didn't provide any relief, we went through several sleepless nights, at his follow up 3 days later, still complained of terrible pain but was told there was nothing they could do. The hole in his leg looks like a shark took a bite out of it and there's a machine attached constantly applying pressure! The hole measures 8cmx6cmx6cm - NOT SMALL!! Again, competent doctor but very impatient and dismissive, cuts you off, horrible bedside manner. He's at least 75 years old (doesn't look it from all the plastic surgery he's gotten), and I really think when you start to be so jaded you treat your patients like that, it's time to retire.
It's impossible to get a sick appointment even at 156 william and it defeats the purpose of having a pediatrician for anything except well visits.
Dr Kara Greenwald and nurse, Raramatu Bishop were excellent caregivers. Dr Kara Greenwald was helpful, friendly and took time to ask and answer questions andthroughly checked me out. I did not feel rushed which I felt in other urgent care facilities. Based on exposure level as a college professor and my past history she ordered appropriate blood work and responded immediately by writing notes to the test results as they came in, She also summarized our visit to my primary doctor, I would recommend her highly. Raramatu Bishop warm and friendly personality relaxed me which helped when she took my blood pressure. it was in a healthy range. In my experience with many practitioners my blood pressure is very elevated. My veins are such that nurses have a lot of difficulty drawing blood and often being stuck a number of times or using my hand. Ms Bishop found my vein on the first try with no pain. I was so pleased with her both her competence and personality. I highly recommend her.
This review pertains only to Dr. Kara Greenwald, the nursing staff, and the front desk staff in the adult primary care office. I have not been to any other offices or seen any other doctors at the Tribeca Weill-Cornell Medicine location, so I cannot speak to their quality. However, I CAN enthusiastically praise Dr. Kara Greenwald and her supporting staff! Dr. Kara Greenwald is a GEM. She is one of the most thoughtful, thorough, compassionate, and effective physicians I have ever worked with, and that is saying something, because I am diagnosed with six chronic conditions and have worked with easily at least fifty doctors over the past decade. I am so grateful for her excellent care, as well as her accessibility--both financially and in terms of phone/email contact. Furthermore, my experience with the front desk staff and nursing staff has been very positive. From the moment I walk in the door until the moment I walk out, every person I interact with is courteous and helpful. I've never waited more than fifteen minutes to see my doctor, and I've never had any issues with billing. Thank you, Dr. Greenwald, and thank you to the nurses and receptionists!
THE PEDIATRICIANS OFFICE OF 40 WORTH STREET WEILL CORNELL!!!! zero stars should be an option. My 2 year old child fell nose flat on sidewalk and since i was right by the office i ran upstairs to 40 worth street PEDIATRICS. he was bleeding out his nose. they turned me away. what sort of doctors or practice turns away a bleeding child?! Their licenses as MEDICAL DOCTORS depend on seeing hurt and sick people in an emergency. They told me to come back for an appointment. WHAT A JOKE OF A PRACTICE. 3 doctors there but not one offered to see him. How beauracratic of them, They were all headed to a meeting and the well being of their bleeding patient wasn't so important. what a bunch of quacks. An emotionless zombie nurse came out to take a look at my kid and spoke down to me as if I'm some sort of paranoid moron, she suggested i make an appointment for later.
Dr. Mulhern is wonderful. She is on a schedule like all doctors but if you have questions, like I did with my first pregnancy, she will sit down and LISTEN. She will take the time to answer you. She has provided me with excellent care over the years and I recommend her to everyone.
I have been a loyal patient of Cornell Weill for 4.5+ years and have always paid my bills on time. Recently, I received a creditor collection claim on behalf of Cornell for a $17 balance I had owed from an appointment that I had forgotten about. I'm shocked and disappointed at how draconian this process has been. Never once did anyone from the billing department (certainly not Jennifer herself who runs it) try to contact me saying I had an outstanding balance. I don't think I need to point out how juvenile sending a credit for $17 is. I paid the balance immediately but am incredibly disillusioned that my loyal patronage for almost 5 years has meant nothing. Overall, the doctors are great but you can find great doctors anywhere in NYC. Generally their prices are higher than most. I had originally thought they were worth the extra money but clearly they are not. The billing department needs serious reorganization and the staff members need to develop empathy and social skills. Don't waste your time or money here.

All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
