List of Salem Clinic's Reviews
This review may just be feedback to Salem Clinic, because I don't know if my doc or others at the clinic have the capacity to accept new patients. With that disclaimer, I can attest to my very positive experience with everyone at the clinic since I first found them, about 30 years ago. I've had 3 different pcp's in that period (1 moved away, 1 retired and for the past 3 years I've been with #3, Dr. Jeffrey Stoessl). All 3 docs have been professional, attentive, and caring about my concerns when I had some, and have never caused me to feel rushed or that i was not important. At my annual physical yesterday, Dr. Stoessl actually thanked me for taking good care of myself. I loved that because it acknowledges that I have personal responsibility for my health. I feel very fortunate to have Dr. Stoessl, Salem Clinic and all of their various departments and support staff to help me manage my health!
Horrible clinic. Gave me 100% wrong information. Quoted me $63 for a charge was hit with over $400 bill. Doctors are incompetent. GO ANYWHERE BUT HERE. All they care about is taking your money
This review is for Salem Clinic Imaging, Union at Capital Streets. Check in was good. The tech was friendly and efficient. The Tech who actually performed the mri exam was unfriendly, impatient and unwelcoming. He demanded I wear his uniform while past experiences at same clinic were not near as strict. I specifically wore clothes with no metal in them but that still didn't work for him. Everything was rushed to the point the tech gave me no time to prepare once on the table. He immediately activated the sliding table before I could put a mask on or ear plugs. The exam was very loud especially because the tech rushed me into the exam room and would not allow me the chance to grab my own ear plugs. The foam earplugs they provide are a complete joke and do not filter the excessive noises emitted by the mri machine. I would think some engineer would make a ton of money if they could devise a noise filter or at least a feature to turn down the head pounding noises.
Not Excepting OHP at this time
This is regarding only the lab at the Capital St. clinic. I checked in at the front desk at 12. The lab was busy, so I knew there would be a wait. Patients were being called in quickly, and by 12:25 everyone who was there when I checked in had been taken care of, yet they started taking people who had arrived well after I did. When I went to the scheduling person and asked, she said it would be another 20 - 30 minutes. When I told her I couldn't wait another half hour, all she said was "okay". No explanation. No apology. Nothing. So I called the business office to explain what happened, and the person I spoke with was very pleasant and apologetic and said she would notify the person in charge of the lab about my complaint. I have to note that everyone else there has been wonderful. This was my only bad experience.
Dr. Lee missed multiple diagnosis I lived with for years without knowing what was going on. My new PCP figured it out within 6 months and my life is so much better. Dr. Samawi misdiagnosed me with a rare condition of which I had none of the symptoms, when I reality I had very common fibroids (and classic symptoms). Dr.Collins performed Accessa surgery for my multiple, large and varied location fibroids- don't let her experiment on you! Accessa treatment has limitations and she should know that, but do you research before letting her mutilate your body! In the moment you might not know what is wrong, but if their treatment feels wrong, it probably is.
Dr. Nanduri is a great doctor. He is very knowledgeable, straight to the point, and clear. I feel like I can trust him to make the right decisions (which is so hard to find in a doctor) and not overlook my concerns. He uses his time very wisely and he is always looking at the bigger picture. I truly respect him as a doctor and as a person.
I enjoy my doctor here and the urgent care on site smells like grilled cheese which is very pleasant.
My mother at 87 has changed nothing on insurance was denied urgent care! She's been with the Insurance 40+ years as well with salem clinic 40 years. All of a sudden they denied her health care in a bad situation. This is not right! And when tried to clarify. They made excuses. Is this what Healthcare has become. Sorry! I'm just getting very upset! Sounds like a legal matter!
Been going to salme clinic for 20 years always found best care and godd friendly staff and doctors.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
