Dr. Rice is a great Doctor who takes care of his patients.

Dr. Rice is the FIRST doctor I've encountered in California that I believe can help me! He knows his stuff and explained my medical condition to me thoroughly. He gave me tips on how to clear my plugged ears . He advised me on the proper dosages of my OTC meds. And he made me believe I would be okay. He has great bedside manner and I'm elated to have found him.

I visited Dr. Bruce Rice for a deviated septum repair. The consultation went okay, but when I went back for the surgery, he seemed to have an attitude. he was rude and childish. I figured since I've gone that far, I might as well complete the procedure. It seemed to go "okay", but I really didn't like his attitude. I returned about 1 week later so he could remove the bandage from my nose. About 2 weeks after that, I was rollerblading .. then felt something in my nose. I pulled a bit. Then pulled more. It turned out to be a 4 inch length of bandage that he didn't remove. I would NEVER go back to him, or recommend him to anyone. Skip this doctor. You will be glad you did.

Dr. Rice had one of the worst bedside manners I've ever seen in a doctor. His brusque "explanations" were brief at best, with minimal talking and communication of what was wrong. I would very strongly discourage ANYONE from ever coming to see him. He did almost nothing to help the patient feel comfortable and was extremely condescending. For the sake of anyone who is deciding whether or not to come to this doctor, I would urge you to choose a different one. Unless you are looking to be patronized and smirked at with a condescending look.

Do not see this doctor. I went for a follow-up visit after a STAT MRI. He did not look at the MRI. When he read the report, (for the first time while I was in the room with him) I had to correct him multiple times as to what was on the paper. He was unaware of which cavities were affected even though it was clearly stated in the report. He interrupted me and told me to rest and see him again in a week. It was very disconcerting.A doctor who does not read critical diagnostic results should not be practicing.Additionally, the exam room door was kept open. His hands were trembling and he seemed confused.I saw an another ENT who started me on antibiotics immediately as the MRI showed I had a severe infection in my sinuses.I have heard from three doctors that they will not refer patients to him because of his inappropriate care.
