Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation - Lakeway

I started off as an inpatient in the rehab facility at Lakeway for Baylor Scott & White after suffering from a stroke. The care was exceptional from the nurses, doctors, and therapists. The facility is clean and very proactive when it came to COVID precautions. I later started the Day Neuro program where I experienced exceptional intensive therapy on all aspects, and because of that will be able to return to my job and active lifestyle.

Doctor Ross and the staff were amazing! I was a completely different person after being released!100% awesome!

Wonderful facility! They took the best care of my daughter!! Her doctor was amazing!! She recognized that my daughter was young, and had different sleep habits from older people. She immediately put orders into place for everything to start at a later time. Her therapists were absolutely precious! They were all young and energetic, so their energy helped my daughter to work harder. She got to come home on July 5th. If not for all of the wonderful staff there, I don’t feel we would have been as lucky. From the person at the front door, to the nurses, the therapists, the case manager, and Dr. A, we couldn’t have asked for a better team or experience! Thanks to all of you for everything!! We give this rehab facility 100 stars!! Hopefully, we won’t ever need you again, but if we do, we refuse to go anywhere else!

After an automobile accident, I was transferred from the hospital to Baylor Scott & White Rehabilitation. I was well taken care of here. A big thank you to Christina Hughes(Clinical Liaison), whose caring heart made it possible to get me on as a charity case! Also, a big thank you to Jennifer Frank(Case Manager), who provided resources, Shelli(OT), Laura(PTA), & Inga(PTN), who helped me in the process of strengthening myself, taught me tricks & safety tips & gave me loads of encouragement! Thank you to Dr. A & Dr. Ross & all the kind nurses & staff! Lastly, thank you to Amy, the sweet girl in training; I'm confident you are making a difference in the field by now!

Amazing place with fabulous staff. We couldn’t be happier with this facility. They are so kind and professional, yet firm about expecting patients to push hard in their own rehab. Just fantastic. My mother has done so well at a quick pace. Would absolutely return here. Well worth the long drive for the family. Nurses and all disciplines of therapists consistently warm and skilled. Thank you!!

BSWIR did a fantastic job on my cousin Joe.  I have been amazed at his tremendous recovery after spending just two weeks in therapy.  He says the best part of his experience was the professional care he received from staff.  Joe goes by regularly dining in the Cafe.  He says it is the best food in town.

I'm very disappointed with the lack of communication and professionalism from 'admin' side of the house. When my relative was discharged I was given very little direction and information which required multiple follow-ups on my behalf. I specifically requested to speak with the Dietitian and never received an email or phone call. I recommend meeting with the Case Manager prior to your relative's discharge so you understand the plan for continued care and rehab, scheduled Dr's appointments, and other resources to contact versus trying to piece everything together with little support on your own.
