Dr. H. Nicholas Meiers

I love Dr. Meires very good neurologist.

He does not communicate well and is curt

Dr Meiers was extremely defensive, argumentative, and overall unprofessional in his demeanor. He was very impatient and he raised his voice to me while asking me what I thought he should do. My husband’s hemoglobin has dropped from 13 to 8.2 and Dr Meiers rudely demanded that the blood loss was not from bladder. He refused to listen to what I was trying to say and left in a huff like a spoiled child.

I waited for over an hour in the lobby to see Dr. Meiers with my mask on due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Which I have no problem with. But when he came in the room he had his mask on under his nose. I told him I would be more comfortable if he would put his mask over his nose and he told me it fogs up his glasses. Which I insisted so he did but got angry about it . He’s unprofessional I am in a high-risk group and really don’t need this. I’m going elsewhere. This just put me at risk was a waste of my time and my money.

I waited in a crowded office for 2 hours. When I was finally taken in for my appointment I gave a urine specimen, got weighed and then sat in the treatment room another half hour before seeing the doctor. When the doctor finally arrived at my room he entered, shook my hand and said he didn't think I had a urology problem, I inquired about the blood in my urine and he hadn't even checked that before seeing me. The rest of my appointment was held in the hallway in the way out so he could check the urine results. The rest of my appointment was rudely held at the front counter in view of and listening range of all the people in the waiting room. Thanks but I'll find a more professional doctor on my own.

My appointment with Dr. Meiers was all but 2 minutes. He glanced at my paperwork, asked me 3 questions and read my lab results before telling me I needed a procedure done and then shaking my hand to leave. He does seem knowledgeable, but I did not feel listened to or cared for at all as a patient.
