Janet Abrams

Dr. Abrams is very professional and knowledgeable doctor. I've been referred to her by several people. Before her I had seen few (6 to be exact) doctors who couldn't figure out my problem. I've had abnormal bleeding that lasted for months. After few procedures that other doctors never even bother to try ( they just were pumping me with hormones and steroids), Dr. Janet performed a surgery. This was my first surgery ever. I never had a stitch on my body before, and naturally I was nervous. But the way she treated me, I knew i was in a good hands. She is an angel! I can't be more grateful to her for the way she handles things from the beginning to the end of my nightmare. In terms of previous reviews please ladies, understand one thing; she is a gynecologist , not a phycologist. She doesn't have to smile or hold your hand to show her sympathy. After all we're all people and we all have good and bad days. We don't really know what they are going through day in and day out. Be nice, smile and ask her how is her day going. And believe me you'll be pleasantly surprised how sweet Dr. Abrams really is. I personally highly recommend her . Thanks for reading my opinion. Smile and be safe!

I think Dr. Abrams is a wonderful doctor. At every appt I've had, she is meticulous, attentive and professional. She always addresses all my concerns/questions; she checks everything out and explains everything clearly and works to resolve all issues. And when I needed a particular surgery, she took the time to help me make an informed decision and she helped me find the right surgeon and then followed up by phone and email to see how I was recovering. She is a very engaged doctor.

Personally haven't had the best experiences with other obgyn doctors; from feeling rushed out of the office to the lack of attention received from the doctor. I was very pleased with Dr Abrams and the staff at Mount Sinai. Dr Abrams listened to my complaints and worries and took immediate action. She spent extra time with me and educated me on things I needed to know. She cares about her patients provides the best medical care to her ability. I have recommended her to a lot of my friends without hesitation. The Mount Sinai clinic is fairly large and very clean. The rooms are big with plenty of space to move around in so you dont feel claustrophobic. My only complaint about the clinic is that the walls aren't very sound proof. You can hear people mumbling in the rooms next door when you're waiting.

Facility is also clean and waiting time is not too crazy, usually on time.
