Dr Maw is a great dr.

Went in with a ruptured eardrum witch I’ve had three in the past from wake boarding. Dr. Maw sucked the ripped eardrum flaps back to flat then then ruffed up the edges a bit exposing fresh skin. Then patched over the hole with what I’d describe as thin paper. I’ve seen two other doctors with the same injury and both said they couldn’t do anything just give it time. The patching process was a bit painful for a very short amount of time. The end result was an air tight thin patch that feels like my ear doesn’t have a hole in it. Awesome work. Instant change. Update 7-7-21. My ear healed quickly there after and haven’t had any problems since while still doing water sports.

Dr. Maw is a very great and professional doctor. As a foreigner, my English is not very good. Although Dr.Maw are very busy, when she treat me she was very patience and tell me what need to pay attention clearly. She encouraged me all the time and help me arrange the operation quickly. The operation was successful. Thanks for all staff working in Dr.Maw clinic! everyone here are friendly and very nice I had ear infection because of snorkeling which eventually developed into a perforated eardrum before Being treated. Dr. Maw repaired my eardrum and survive my hearing. I am very grateful to her.

Dr. Maw performed a tympanoplasty for me. She is awesome. I had the surgery 4 prior times with other doctors...they couldn't fix the issue. She fixed up my ear and never had a problem since.

Organized, professional, thorough, knowledgeable, and quite different from the average medical experience these days. I came in very frightened of the tests for which I was scheduled, namely the ENG. Dr. Schmitt, Au.D. really helped me relax and get through the tests without any pain or sickness. She readily answered my questions, set my mind at ease about everything, and made me laugh. She seemed incredibly knowledgeable yet humble and kind. I appreciated that. 5 stars for Dr. Schmitt, At.D. Dr. Maw, herself, is a very special doctor. It is obvious once one meets her that she has an extraordinary amount of knowledge and experience. She is open to questions and answers them honestly and thoughtfully. I knew I was in very good hands with Dr. Maw. Her ability to be caring, given her vast amount of responsibilities, is impressive. I would refer a family member to her without any hesitation. Dr. Maw has now successfully implanted (bilateral cochlear) our young daughter and my wife and I couldn't be happier or more appreciative of her and her staff's care and professionalism over the last two yrs. Rather it's Jacqui in billing, Angelica in scheduling and of course incredible audiologists, Dr's Patil, Ahuja & Schmitt, they are all first rate and have gone "above and beyond" in our experience. Admittedly.... initially trying to navigate the limited physician options specializing in pediatric implants & continuing maintenance within a 100 mile radius, we were a bit tentative & unsure if we were making the right physician selection...I suspect because we mistook Dr Maw's "reserved" nature a bit. Thankfully, she turned out to be not only a brilliant professional surgeon who specializes in Otology/Neurotology, but is actually a very sweet, friendly, caring & considerate professional who takes tremendous pride in her work and will go the extra mile for "her" kids & their families. She's very confident (absolutely not arrogant) & experienced in her respective field and offers more intangibles then most Otologic surgeons in my opinion because of her vast additional experience treating facial nerve disorders. Last but not least, she "walks the walk" for the right inspirational reasons having some hearing loss in her family history. We just can't thank her enough for everything her and her staff have provided us and we look forward to a lengthy relationship with continued maintenance & visits for our daughter's implants. For those parents on the Central Coast who must walk down the same road we have... unexpectedly having a child born with profound hearing loss & have the ultimate objective of integrating your child into a mainstream "hearing" world, do yourself a favor and start by securing the services of both Dr Maw and Audio/Verbal teacher Marsha Haines (Listen and Learn, San Jose). As we watch the daily progression in our daughter, I know choosing these two professionals to work with were two of the best and most critical choices in our respective lives, and most importantly....our daughter's.

Had a thorough examination on my ears since I feel that I may be losing my hearing. Dr. Maw was very professional and detailed in regards to the questions she asked, also gave me information on prevention of further damage to my ears.

Went in for a routine ear check. What I did know until later were test were done without my permission that my insurance does not cover. Only found out about it was when it appeared on my credit report as a collections. Be careful when you provide your personal information with them.

Attempted to bill me over $100 to have a nurse remove a cat hair from my ear. Easy money for 5 minutes of work that any medical student could perform.
