Colonoscopy under light anesthesia: starting with the nurses (Paul - a great first impression of the staff to follow)at Reagan center- so very nice and fun to be waiting with for my turn of the colonoscopy . Comfort is key, and the place is spotless and they lay a warm blanket on you while u wait. This small treat had me relaxed and chill.
The nurses all friendly and kind- you gotta love that energy when your having a colonoscopy.
In the room again those nurses all smiles and patting my shoulders making sure I was seeing their smiles- ( had me smiling)
The partial anathesia, the person providing it explained in detail and I was ready. Honestly: ( I felt nothing and resorted to lightly sleeping during the procedure) for me the partial anathesia was the way to go because after...I was bright and alert and when I went home I laid low and wasn’t drugged up.
Had a feeling I was coming out of a dream for the rest of the afternoon (yet remained sharp the whole time)and resumed fast walking (work out)the next day exactly 24 hours later. This method worked for me vs. full anesthesia and being sleepy groggy after.
Dr Chen came to me after to review , I found him pleasant and professional.
Dial it back more , the initial nurse at my first office appt is Cindy and she handled my stressed out self expertly when I was having pain in my intestine.I was a difficult person all due to pain and she hung with me, which turned me into The thankful patient I really am( after that first appt).
Physician assistant Rayo who handled my urgent appt was about as fast and articulate as any excellent urgent care dr would have been.
I have never been to this office for dr Chen before and obviously the impact this process made on me for a sensitive procedure: was 5 stars.
