Kalpana Patel, MD

I just saw Dr. Patel for my procedure today. She has excellent bedside manner. She is experienced and takes her time to make you comfortable and explains everything. Highly highly recommend.

I had my surgery on July 8 and I could not have found a better doctor than Dr. Patel. She is absolutely wonderful, extremely competent and intelligent. She made me feel very comfortable, and at ease about the entire procedure.

She is simply the best.

Dr. Patel was my doctor during a very difficult time for me which culminated in gallbladder surgery. Dr. Patel was compassionate and she always listened to my concerns. She called me personally when I had pressing questions and always treated me with kindness. The staff at the Long Beach outpatient surgery center were wonderful. I highly recommend Dr. Patel and her staff.

I am honored to be the first to leave beyond stellar review to an amazing dr., Dr. Kalpana Patel is truly a saint from heaven, she is amazing with her patients, she takes her time to explain the symptoms and causes and will give the best diagnosis that she feels it is the right fit for you, her office is amazingly clean, my mom tried several drs. Unfortunately they did horrible job diagnostic my mom, and in it for the money not caring for her, her last dr. Missed huge polyp in my mom colon, if it wasn't for dr. Patel colonoscopy and found them it would have problems to my mom later on. I can't tell you how amazing dr. Patel is, she is truly genius in her field and make sure to go above and beyond to make sure her patients are receiving the most ultimate care. You will not be disappointed Thank you dr. Patel

Dr Patel is a gastroenterologist whom I visited for a colonoscopy. She is very professional but also reassuring about the procedure, which I had previously had unpleasant experiences with elsewhere. The procedure was done under general anesthesia, so I slept through the whole thing and felt nothing. I awoke quickly afterward and did not experience any discomfort at all. My whole experience there was pain-free! Dr Patel explained the results (which were good), answered my questions, and gave me a written summary and also a photo taken from the endoscope showing the general condition of my colon. Afterwards Dr Patel went beyond the call of duty and very graciously gave me a ride home in her own car when I couldn't reach my friend who had dropped me off and was supposed to pick me back up later (they don't allow you to drive yourself). We found out later there was a glitch in his cell phone coverage so his phone didn't even ring, but in the meantime I had no money for a taxi and the surgery was closing. I offered to take the bus home but Dr Patel didn't think that would be safe, even though I really didn't feel groggy from the anesthetic. I am very grateful to Dr Patel for her kindness in going out of her way to drop me safely back home!

she is VERY caring spent lots of time going over my past medical history, developed a game plan for me and did it!!! its VERY hard to find a good gastro doctor in long beach if you need one PLEASE see Dr Patel

Good doctor, but the scheduling process is a joke. I'm a long time patient and called to schedule colonoscopy appt. The girl took all my info and then explained that the scheduling nurse would call me back. Okay.... by the way, she only works part time so you may not hear from her for a week, to week-in-a half. Sorry, that's lame. It'll likely be 4-6 weeks out from there to get an appt scheduled. Time to find a new doctor....... :-(

So far not impressed w scheduling the pre-colonoscopy consultation via zoom w this office. Let’s hope they are better doctors than administration!
