Terrible gastroentrology practice. Like most specialist practices the doctor in largely unavailable for face to face consultation. The several times over the past 10 years I've had procedures done the doctor will offer his consult on the procedure results moments after I've regained consciousness and still in a propofal haze, never asking my wife -who has been in the waiting room - to be present so someone can comprehend his consultation. For a recent appointment the office called while I was on my way (I live an hour distant) to cancel because the P.A. was sick and apparently there was no one else in this large practice who could cover, yet when I tried to cancel an appointment with the P.A. over 24 hours in advance I was billed for $50. and told that I could not make an appointment until the bill was paid. This is a terribly impersonal and unhelpful practice, and the gastroentrologist who I've seen has nothing to offer but prescriptions - no other advice whatsoever and no communication . Find a practice where the doctors have an interest in communicating with and helping their patients.
