I had a heckuva experience on my own. It's been crazy! From people thinking I was dead at Butterworth, to having the most amazing Cardio thoracic Surgeon, and awesome Dr Dyke...I'm here and looking forward to going home to my kids and dogs.

Select Specialty Hospital was the definition of a godsend for my partner and I. His social worker here, Kim, is the only case manager we’ve had in the entire last year who actually advocated for him to have the best of the best when it came to discharge. She worked so hard for us even when his case got complicated. Dr. Dyke is wonderful and truly listens to patients and their ideas about treating issues that may arise. The respiratory therapists are all incredible. I was never worried about my partner getting quality care here, from nurses to CNAs to PTs. Everyone on the 5th floor became like family to us, and I’m so, so, so happy that my partner was able to stay at Select as we awaited home care. I would give even more stars if I could!

I had a good time here. No one wants to be in the hospital but if you have to be somewhere, come here. The people know what they are doing and they'll explain things to you so you know how to do it when you go home. I feel prepared.

They have a good staff! They treat people like they should be treated. Stay strong and stay positive. Keep your faith!

Quite honestly, I love this place! I wouldn’t be as far as I was without them.. I arrived, had a change in condition, and had to go to the ICU. I’ve been through everything you can imagine! A coma, tube down my throat. But the 5th floor has been amazing. The physical therapy staff has been above reproach. They were motivating and so caring. Matt would come in all the time to check on me. He asked how they can make my experience a positive one. All those caring moments helped my recovery so much. Ms. Victoria was so sweet. Whenever I cried, she would sit with me and bring me back from any self pity that I felt. It’s been extraordinary! I’m also blessed to have my daughters advocating for me.

The staff on the 5th floor is 2nd to none! And I've had quite a few interactions with hospitals. These people communicate what's going on and why. They tell me what medications are for and why they are giving it. Anna is one of my favorites. Sometimes she's not caring for me but will still come in and ask me if I need anything.

My mom came to select care in grand rapids in a very bad place. She had recently had surgery for a digestive issue and had complications. Select care was a amazing and turned a very bleak period into a positive experience. From doctor dyke, to the nurses, to the staff of therapists, and administration we were welcomed and assured that her needs would be taken care off. I can honestly say that without select care my mom might not be here today. I highly recommend this facility to anyone in need of long term care. Thank you for everything. My mom and I can not thank you enough

To whom it may concern as a former patient at select specialty hospital the staff is incredible in every way you can imagine in reverse to the nutritional staff the meals were five 🌟 star to the CNA thank you for the love 🥰 to the nurses it was like getting a big hug from your mother and hearing her whispering it's going to be alright with a smile last but not least to the doctor's may you all have the blessings that your entitled to and May God bless your family with the love and respect that you have shown to me thank you all for your help and love and support have a wonderful day

Select is undeniably the place to be for ventilation liberation. It’s truly one big family here. We’ve been here twice in a year and I couldn’t have ask for better care of our son with disabilities. Staff and doctors are perfection @Select and always at the top of their game. Especially Dr. Dyke who is very attentive to all the difficult challenges we’ve faced twice!

I was sent to Select Specialty Hospital to recover from my Tracheotomy. My recovery was fast thanks to the work of everyone from nurses to doctors and the respiratory team doing their best they could. My family and I were very concerned about my health, especially about my breathing and oxygen level and the people taking care of me make sure that we didn't have any doubts or questions about the recovery process. The care that I received was perfect, everyone was very helpful not only with me but also with my family, they truly help us with our needs during my entire stay. Thank you so much. I couldn't have recover in a better place.
