Dr. Vakharia is amazing!

Dr. Vakharia was recommended to me by my husband's co-worker who had two side hernias repaired with great success. I was very nervous about surgery since I had never been under anesthesia. Dr. Vakharia's confidence along with his soft, sympathetic and kind bedside manner put me right at ease. Dr. Vakharia also explained everything in full detail to set my expectations and to help allay my fears. I had the procedure (supra umbilical hernia) repaired at Charleton Memorial Hospital and the entire team of staff, nurses and doctors were competent, confident and welcoming which is exactly what patients need when they are facing surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Vakharia and his team at Charleton Hospital.

This Surgeon in my opinion, and my family, is no doubt the best doctor I have ever dealt with. I’m apparently one of the few that went to a Rhode Island hospital for a normal hernia surgery and had to have two more at the same place. I got a referral from a friend and client of mine to go see Dr. Valkaria. He did an emergency fourth surgery and I was finally fixed after 3 years! Can’t say enough good things about him. Personally? Excellent!!

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Vakharia!! I had to have gallbladder surgery and had never had surgery before. Needless to say I was scared to death. His bedside manner was amazing from preop all the way through to my two follow up visits. Such a nice man. He listens, he cares, and he works FAR too much! My surgery took 4 hours when it should have taken 1. It ended at 11pm. He was there to talk to me in postop and was in my hospital room to check on me at 6:30am the next day. Every person I spoke to in the hospital cannot say more positive about him. In my followup visits he took his time, and collaborated with me. I would highly recommend him.
