If I could give -100 stars, I would. As a new patient, I booked a month in advance for a yearly visit and a consult with Dr Tara Abella. When I booked my appointment, I specifically asked for Dr Abella, not a Nurse Practitioner, because I also had serious health concerns I wanted to speak about directly with a doctor. Though the appointment was a month out, which I was not so happy with, I accepted because I was a new patient and wanted to find a new gynecologist that I could go to (having moved to New Jersey recently).Today, on the day of the appointment, I get a call from their office. They wanted to reschedule my appointment because Dr Abella was stuck in the hospital and 99% positive would not be able to make today's appointment. The "snow storm" was a good second excuse for the cancellation/rescheduling.What could I do? I asked when was the next available appointment and was told there was nothing till March! ONE MONTH LATER.Are you kidding me?I book a month in advance to see Dr Abella and get rescheduled from something completely out of my control and on the doctor's behalf and I am the one who has to suffer the consequences?Plus, if they do this to me on my first appointment, what's to say I wait another month and they do this to me again? Clearly, they don't care for anyone's else's time but their own. Who cares that I had to reschedule work around this? Who cares about my health concerns? Jesus, the nerve.Mind you, I've waited one month with possibly serious health consequences, just for this visit, and they just brush it off like nothing. Instead, the receptionist (Dana, I believe) says that I could see a Nurse Practitioner Stephanie or their male doctor instead. If I wanted to see either, I could have had my appointment weeks earlier. I did not specifically book my appointment with Dr Abella so that I could have someone else swoop in last minute and take over. The fact that they should so casually try to do this to me, shows me that this doctor and this office cares nothing for their patients, new or otherwise.I told Dana (the office receptionist) all of my concerns and she stated that she would speak to Dr Abella and try to get me squeezed in this week.Try to squeeze me in? Shouldn't all patients who've been rescheduled be accommodated by the doctor and office accordingly? I told Dana thank you and that I would be waiting for her call because this entire situation was very upsetting and not of my doing. It's end of day today. No call or update from Dana or the office. No notification via email as well.Fair warning: This office doesn't care about their patients or their specific needs. They won't try helping you, even with the simplest type of appointment booking. They don't care how much you wait as long as you can fit into their pretty schedule.Forget it.I'd really rather not see a group/doctor/office that clearly doesn't have my patient care in mind.
