I had been quite ill for some time, and had numerous issues. I also have a history of abdominal adhesions, which ive had several surgeries (7 or 8) for. I went to Dr Smith seeking a second opinion. Due to my history he suggested adhesions to be the cause and that I needed surgery. He mentioned endoscopy & colonoscopy were not necessary as I had both 2 yrs ago. So I had surgery and my surgeon found no adhesions and nothing that would be causing the pain I was experiencing. I called Dr Smith's office to follow-up, I was still quite ill. The soonest I could be seen was 2 months out. That wasn't gonna work, I was nauseous daily, in some pretty severe pain.... And had dropped a significant amount of weight. I found a different GI Dr who is amazing. She ordered an endoscopy & colonoscopy. Thank goodness... I had a very large mass of candida in my esophagus. Thats what was making me so ill and in pain. She treated me and I feel so much better.... Thank goodness. Glad I trusted my gut !!
