Dr. Waider performed an angioplasty and installed 3 stents when he detected blockage caused by the junk from decades of cigarette smoking in May 2006. I tried the prescription drug, Chantix to stop smoking but was allergic to the drug. I have managed to reduced the nicotine intake to less than the equivalent of 2 cigarettes a day with eCigarette. Dr. Waider's stents worked very well over the decade. He is also an excellent cardiologist and detected early stage of Type II diabetes, when a Magna Cumme Laude graduate internist failed using the wrong test, fasting glucose. Thanks to him, I have been successfully managing my borderline Diabetes condition without the prescription drug which is harmful to the kidney in the range considered acceptable by the endocrinologists. He is also very knowledgeable in all the cardiac markers, lipids, such as the cholesterol/triglycerides, high density lipoprotein (HDL) and low density lipoprotein (LDL), prescribing the most effective medication for control the lipids to the desired range.
It is rare to find a cardiologist who is also an excellent internist these days.
