Shady Grove Fertility's Online Review Report Card

I just had the worst experience here with the ultrasound tech! I understand that she doesn’t want to take pictures or videos, but then she refuses to take a picture of the heartbeat for us to have and said she couldn’t but the last ultrasound tech did. Then the two pictures she printed for us we can barely see. And the worst part is I’ve waited a week and a half for this ultrasound after a loss so have been nervous and she wouldn’t even let me see the screen during it. She turned it towards me for one second and then it faced her the rest of the time. I left crying.

What a joke of an organization. This place only exists to push freezing your eggs so they can charge you a monthly fee for holding them. That's it. DO NOT GO HERE!

As a husband, I will always be grateful for Vanessa. From the very beginning of our fertility journey, she was there for us every step of the way. My wife truly needed Vanessa during this process, and seeing how much she genuinely cared for her and for our family meant everything to me. Her kindness, compassion, and support helped us through some of the hardest moments. Today, because of Vanessa, Dr. Griffith, and the incredible Shady Grove Fertility team, we are blessed to hold our son in our arms. We will never forget the impact they had on our lives. Vanessa will always be a part of our family's story.

When I first called Shady Grove Fertility to begin our fertility journey, I had no idea that the person who answered the phone would become such an important part of our lives. That person was Vanessa. At the time, Vanessa was filling in at Dr. Griffith's office, but from that very first conversation, she became my person. Through every step of our journey the highs, the lows, the waiting, the uncertainty, and the celebrations, Vanessa was always there. Her kindness, compassion, reassurance, and genuine care made some of our hardest days feel a little lighter. It's been well over a year and a half since that first phone call, and today we are blessed to hold our miracle boy in our arms. Through it all, Vanessa has remained a constant source of support. She is no longer just someone who helped us through treatment; she has become family. Everyone needs a Vanessa in their life. She has the kindest heart, and she has a way of making you feel seen, heard, and cared for when you need it most. No question was ever too small, no concern was ever dismissed, and no moment was met without encouragement and understanding. I am forever grateful that Vanessa answered the phone that day. Shady Grove Fertility truly has a gem in her, and I hope they know just how special she is. She made an unforgettable impact on our family, and we will always be thankful for the role she played in helping us bring our miracle into this world. We are also forever grateful for Dr. Griffith and the entire Shady Grove Fertility team. Their expertise, compassion, encouragement, and unwavering support helped make our dream of becoming parents a reality. Because of their care and dedication, we now have our miracle baby, a blessing we prayed for through so many difficult seasons. Thank you, Vanessa, Dr. Griffith, and the entire Shady Grove team. You will always hold a special place in our hearts and forever be part of our family's story.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience at Shady Grove- TMC! I was a patient of Dr. Shah (Woodlands) but the med center was closer to my house so I did all of my monitoring there! Everyone made us feel so comfortable and safe, we honestly couldn’t have done it without those women, they made all the difference on our journey! Amber, at the front desk, knew us by name, was always friendly and we really enjoyed her warm personality. Whitney, MA, always made sure all of our questions were answered, her welcoming persona made us feel like we were family. And can’t forget Ishia, phlebotomist, if you ever need blood drawn, she’s your girl, not one time did it ever hurt, and she always remembered I used my opposite arm! After graduation, we went back to celebrate with these women because they made such a huge impact on our life and can’t wait until our baby is born so he can meet them too! Shady Grove TMC 11/10! Highly recommend! Zero complaints! Thank you for helping make our dreams come true!

I am a proud veteran that was referred to this clinic 4-5 months ago. Every single time my cycle came around and all my testing was done and vial was ordered they skipped through and pushed my procedure back. Just to add on additional charges for the VA and myself to pay for instead of actually doing the iui/ivf. I am definitely out of pocket, patience and my time being played with as I truly for the first time wanted to experience motherhood but they took that hope and happiness from me for months. I will never return for services at this fertility again and recommend the VA and my fellow veterans to reconsider this facility as a place to start your family journey. Highly disappointed.

Dr. O’Hern is the reason we have our beautiful baby boy. I presented her with a difficult case (severe endometriosis, advanced maternal age, unreliable ovaries) and she didn’t give up on me. We threw the book at it and she was willing to do what it took for us to be successful. Thank you Dr. O’Hern!!

Dr OHern and her team made my dream of becoming a mother a reality. I always felt listened to and validated here. The staff were always so kind. Appointments never took longer than necessary. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Shady Grove. I also had the privilege to have procedures done at another location by Dr Bruno and Shah. Melody was also an incredible nurse that assisted during these.

I had an amazing experience at Shady Grove Fertility with Dr. Candice O’Hern. From the very first appointment, she made me feel comfortable, heard, and supported. Her bedside manner is truly exceptional—she takes the time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly, making sure all of my questions and concerns were answered and that I understood every step of the process. I never felt rushed, and she genuinely listens to her patients. The entire team at the clinic is just as wonderful. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and professional, which made each visit a positive experience. Fertility treatment can be an emotional journey, but having such a compassionate and knowledgeable team made all the difference. I’m incredibly grateful for the care I received and highly recommend Dr. O’Hern and the staff at Shady Grove Fertility to anyone looking for a supportive and skilled fertility team. Today I said goodbye to the amazing team which was bittersweet but I left with a little piece of them. Currently 9 weeks pregnant with my little miracle baby that wouldn’t had been possible without the entire SGF team. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I’ve had such a great experience at this clinic. Dr. Ohern and her team are wonderful and truly make you feel cared for every step of the way. The retrieval clinic staff were also amazing, kind, attentive, and supportive during what can be a very emotional process. A special thank you to Nurse Brittany, who has been incredible, and to Amber at the front desk, who always greets you with a smile and makes you feel welcome the moment you walk in. It really feels like everyone here genuinely cares about their patients, and that means so much.
