Scheduling with this practice was so easy. The front desk is truly lovely. They don't take my insurance but clearly communicated cost and even had the paperwork from my insurance company ready to go so I could self file. I saw Dr. Watkins. I felt like he was very thorough and caught something my last eye doc missed. The downside is that while he was right in identifying a potentially significant issue, he was wrong about what it was and may have freaked me out more than necessary. Still, I want to say the level of concern was great and everyone at the office worked to get me immediate care for a potentially vision threatening condition. I'm lucky it wasn't what he thought--but I would have had the absolute best care of if it had been. Also, I think Dr. Watkins came up with a really innovative solution to correct my vision and I'm grateful for his creativity in giving me the best reading and distance vision possible.
Neighborhood hidden gem that I wished we learned about years ago. The office staff is friendly. Dr. Blaine is great and provides answers that "make sense". They run pretty efficiently (from our family visits) and for my annual eye exam, I was done in about 30 mins. Dilation can still be done but with my busy schedule, I opt for the Optomap imaging and pay a bit more (~$25) as getting dilated & dealing with it all day is no longer doable. We needed to get some prescription sports sunglasses for the runner in the family. They carried a few of the Prescription Oakley of interest so it was good to go in and physically try them on (unlike online). To be clear, they were not cheap, but we reviewed all the options (tint color, reflection, etc...) and I have to admit, they look pretty sweet!!
Unfortunately, after six months I am still experiencing dry and painful eyes after having cataract surgery. I went the extra mile to approve the expensive laser cataract surgery because Dr. Goldman said it would be the best, but I don't know if something went wrong during my surgery. Dr. Goldman only said my eyes were much deeper set than he had expected and referred me to another doctor in the same practice, Dr. Janousek, who prescribed an additional $140 worth of eye drops, which Cigna, my health insurance would not approve, on top of the other drops which have not made much difference, so I probably won't be going back to see him either. I now have to use eye drops multiple times each day when I had never had to use them before. I am very disappointed and am worried that my eyes are going to feel this way for the rest of my life. I cannot recommend either Arizona Eye Specialists or Dr. Goldman. I wish I had never had the surgery done.
I actually have been coming here for the past several years but decided to update my review only because I consistently get such great care and service! I've been seeing Dr. Watkins, who is just the best! Always so personable and I love how thorough he is with my eye care. I never feel pressured here and even today knowing that I'm eligible for new glasses but my prescription hadn't changed so I chose to not get new ones for now. Recommend this place!!!
Front staff and assistants were very courteous and attentive. Dr. Romanoff, however, had horrible patient interaction. He claimed to be an expert in my condition but failed to give me an adequate plan. He badmouthed my previous eye doctor and current physician and made me feel guilty for other non-related health decisions. I felt he did not listen to me and was very condescending. My condition worsened and I found a different clinic for my care.
During my recent visit, I experienced an extremely thorough eye exam conducted by their professional and dedicated team. From start to finish, their attention to detail and commitment to excellence were evident, ensuring that every aspect of my eye health was meticulously addressed. The staff members were knowledgeable, courteous, and exhibited a high level of professionalism throughout my visit. If you're in need of comprehensive eye care from a team you can trust, look no further than Tempe Eye Associates.
Excellent and thorough exam. Office staff were personable and the rates were good. Highly recommend this group.
I needed a new eye doctor and selected this one due to its high reviews on Yelp. And Yelpers didn't let me down! Great experience. I was able to make an appointment pretty quickly, and the nice woman on the phone told me where I could fill out all my paperwork online. Yes! I love not filling out papers on a clipboard balanced on my lap. The technician who did my tests was professional and really nice. I asked him a few questions and he never seemed annoyed. Dr. Paul was patient with me and explained everything thoroughly. Looks like I've found a regular eye clinic!
Great staff Dr Golman explained my procedure and there were no surprises. Would recommend to anyone looking for quality eye care.
I can in to get some metal removed and was so pleasantly treated and would recommend to anybody

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
