I waited 3 hours, last person to leave
This practice is deceptive at best, working the system for their benefit. After coming in for, what was booked as, a routine checkup for a new patient, they charged my medical insurance rather than my vision insurance because I "complained" of dry eyes (after having undergone LASIK surgery and recently moved to the AZ desert) when the doctor prompted me. Instead of a $10 copay, I'm now paying $250+ via a payment plan, not to mention the money they received from my insurance plan. Because of my "complaint," the visit was marked as "medical" and CANNOT be re-claimed to my vision insurance. I don't make reviews - ever - but I cannot leave a stronger recommendation to avoid this practice at all costs.
Very positive experience.
Totally relaxing experience. They know what they're doing.
If you want to see REVIEW for Southwestern EYE Center, see the review at YELP, Google Review, ETC. They talk about real patient experience. See about this story of Matt Palmer the OD. This is the reviews from Matt Palmer patients: "Worst unethical doctor ever! I would give a -1 if I could" "Rude and rushes you out" "The two times I’ve seen Dr. Palmer I felt like he didn’t really care that much. "MEDICAL MALPRACTICE by Dr. Matthew Palmer at Southwestern Eye Center. Avoid him and this place at all costs" "Of all the doctors I have met in the last 6+ years, Dr. Matthew Palmer is the only one who I had a negative experience with" " Dr. Palmer -- no medication" "This Matthew guy came in, never introduced himself and looked at my eyes, shined a light to somehow figure out a prescription. He then said he wanted to see me again in 6 months." "I would not recommend this office or Dr Palmer for anything" "Dr. Palmer spent so little time with me except to tell me that I have cataracts and handed me a card for their surgeon" "Dr was very impersonal" "I would never suggest Southwestern Eye not Dr Palmer. Stay far away from this place" "The first thingPalmer said when he walked in was that there was a 52.00 out of pocket if I needed any additional services" "Matthew Palmer, for a total of 2 minutes. He explained I needed cataract surgery NOW" -- WRONG, it is NOT Cataract ! =====================================
They were efficient, friendly, helpful, professional and thorough. I highly recommend Southwest Eye Center.
I've been seeing Dr. Roper for some years now, due to glaucoma. Never had any problems or issues.
Virtually no wait. Technicians and Dr were quick and responsive to my inquiries.
Dr’s are great. Location is clean and expeditious.
Easy in and didn’t wait too long. Doctor was effective and sent me on my way with what I needed. Easy out!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
