Its a great service .. of course staff varies. Some ppl are curt some are kinder. They are available 24/ 7 which is great. They can do some testing - does not replace ER/ hospital yeats ago when there was a doctor there , she was able to diagnose pneumonia and prescribe for me. Don't know if there is always a doctor available. Yesterday i saw a nurse -i got the answers i was looking for !!!
I got to the Bee Ridge location in Sarasota and there was only one person working and about 6 patients waiting. I was just picking up a cd but I still had to wait as if I was being seen by a doctor. Horrible!!
Very upset from how they didn’t like to give me a school excuse for my son and they want to see him again to give me a school excuse!
Chest pains and urgent care needed. Arrived and checked in immediately after about 3 minutes wait and was back to a doctor within 5-7 minutes. Professional staff, clean and well trained.
I'm giving a two star because the assistant nurses that take the blood pressure and temp are very sweet. Unfortunately the way it works is, you pay 150 up front if you have no insurance. Prices go up depending on what tests they try to get you to take. I felt like a test was wasted because I knew I didn't have strep but they did a strep test. Female Dr. came in and looked saying "oh yea you don't have strep..." (thank you for telling me what I knew I didn't have.) Tacs on more money to the visit... I didn't understand the Dr. she wanted me to do another test, that I didn't need. I had one of the other people come in with a chart with all the prices.... Holy crap.... I won't come back.... Pushing tests to get money???? Also good luck getting a call back from them..... Even getting someone on the phone 👀 I went to Concentra and got better help annnnd if you don't have insurance it's 195 butttt they include tests.
brought my daughter in to the SMH Urgent care and was seeing by Christina Kukula. I explained to her that I brought my youngest daughter in 2 days prior and she was treated for terrible ear infection and upper respiratory infection and they share a bedroom and bathroom. I explained to her I wanted to get ahead of this because the holidays are in 5 days. My daughter is miserable and had a low grade fever. Same symptoms as my youngest. She ran a strep test which I knew was going to come back negative and it did. She perceive to tell me……if there is one thing we learned going through Covid is that antibiotics don’t work for a virus. She also told me in another sentence that sometimes viruses can turn into bacterial. My thought at this point was wow. Then all those people that caught Covid and had pneumonia were withhold treatment with an antibiotic? We aren’t talking about COVID and I didn’t say anything about it. She also told me antibiotics are dangerous and can cause a yeast infection. What? That is not dangerous! Her symptoms and the ways he feels is!!!!! I knew immediate this lady was all about making money as she gets paid per visit and not caring for my child. They ran a strep test. We waited extensive time. It came back negative as I knew it would and to early to detect. The nurse walks back in the room gave me my papers, 800mg of Ibuprofen script and told me I can check out and walked out. IT WAS NOT BUSY! I was the only one in there. I never got to talk again with Christine which I still had concerns and knew this was a bacterial issue. Well here we are. Not even 2 days later and my daughter has white spots all on her throat and 10x miserable. I immediately called up SMH urgent care to see if they can order her an antibiotic and I have to pay another fee and another test, my 4 other family members have now been exposed and my daughter is miserable and suffering. Its 3 days till Christmas! This is NOT caring for people! Christine’s bedside manors are harsh and if you try to discuss your concerns she interrupts you and does NOT listen! All I can say is beware…….this medical provider treats patients as a business NOT care! Thank you Christine. If you took the time to listen to my concerns, that I have a family member very susceptible to upper respiratory infections and was coming home on Friday maybe you would have prescribed an antibiotic and we could have avoided this. I hope this doesn’t go through my family and if it does it will not be the last you hear from me!
Intake, efficient care provided is almost 5 stars, but the business side of this practice is terrible. The Urgent Care Center is designated as "IN NETWORK" with my insurance provider, but surprise, surprise, the Doctor that treated me was "OUT OF NETWORK," so my insurance only covered a small portion of the bill. How could this be? How would I know this before walking in since I already verified the Center was in network. So I posed the question by phone to the billing department and they pledged that a manager would call me. That was before Thanksgiving. Still no call! The response below from the center is NOT APPROPRIATE. I did not question nor have any misconception about there being a separate-second charge from a doctor. I object to being led to believe that the center is in my UHC network but the DOCTOR was out of network. I should have been made aware of that! And I am not calling you. I already did and was promised that a billing manager would call me. That has not happened.
Excellent care..clean clean facility..very kind staff..thank you
Always courteous and fast. Easy access for handicap. Love SMH and their off site facilities.
We are so lucky to have this Urgent Care in our neighborhood. Staff are wonderful and PA Darla was top notch.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
