Ear Nose & Throat Associates's Online Review Report Card

I rarely write reviews but I need to on this place to emphasize they are there to take your money where they can. I also fell victim to the $230 nasal scope for a 15 second analysis to determine what I told the doctor in the first place. Not only that, but they tried double billing me for it the next visit I had. I have had to call multiple times to schedule appointments, when they were the ones who said they would follow up with me once they had the schedule set. The only calls I have received have been about the money I owe. They are so unorganized and it's frustrating to pay this much up front with still no relieving work done. If they cared for their patients like they cared about their money, they would probably have a higher rating. Don't fall victim to their scam.

I recently had my thyroid removed due to several nodules, with one as large as a golf ball! I met with Dr. Desai at the Bardmoor office and was very impressed with not only his knowledge, but his communication skills, he truly listens. He answered the numerous questions I had, explaining everything thoroughly, calmly and with kindness. . He kept my family updated after the surgery and I just had my follow up appt today in the Clearwater office. Again, he took as much time (as I needed) with instructions of what was to be expected & the directions & care I needed to follow for a successful surgical outcome. I am so thankful that choosing Dr. Desai was the best decision I made for my body, mind and health.

The doctor was very nice and approachable. He recommended a study and an outpatient surgery. It surely felt that he knew what he was doing. However, they tried to charge me $230 for an "in office procedure", a nasal scope that took less than 1 minute. This after I explicitly declined my consent to procedures that were charged separately when electronically checking in. When I refused, they tried to make me sign a paper consent after the fact. Now I cannot trust this institution anymore. It feels like the doctor was only interested in getting more money. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place. Avoid at all cost! They are here to take your money, as much as they can. After a year of going there and thousands of dollars I found little to no improvement. They finally decide that I should get a in office procedure and schedule for 3 months out. 2 months later they call me and say my insurance won’t cover and it would be 15k out of pocket. I said not happening and they called back a week later and said they would do it for 8k (is this bargaining for a used car or healthcare). Fast forward, turns out they didn’t even submit to my insurance and I am not getting the same procedure done for $75 out of pocket a week after my initial appointment.

Their billing practices are horrible. Talk about your surprise billings!! I can't see in your ear, let me remove the wax. Boom $35 bill. Oh, let me look up your nose to see what's up. Boom, another $200. That is in addition to the insurance co-pay. And then when you call to talk to them about it, they are rude as all heck. Don't recommend.

I was very uncomfortable and was able to go in right away. Everyone was supportive, courteous. My ears felt better when I left and so did my psyche. Thankyou.

Very compassionate, helpful and knowledgeable employees. Fast medical care. Definitely recommend and will be returning.
