The Doctors and Staff are simply AMAZING. I have been a patient of Dr Cothan’s for over 5+ years and my heart is FILLED with the utmost respect and gratitude for her expertise and professionalism. My eye issues are extremely rare and unique but she managed to save my vision and help me navigate through other issues. I highly recommend Dr Corhan.

The wait time is way too long. They called me in and misplaced my chart, which resulted in me waiting for an hour and a half for absolutely no reason. They don’t respect your time here, it was also overbooked on top of that. They also used my full name to call me in the waiting room which is a HIPPAA violation.

I’ve felt very comfortable coming here to the Eye Institute. The front desk staff always keeps me up to date (and always keeps me amused!). The doctors I’ve seen thus far (Dr Talley; Dr Martino; and Dr Mannix) have constantly kept me informed about diagnosis, procedures, and follow up expectations. Kudos to everyone.

So my review/complaint is with how they handle the appointments. This is my 3rd visit after eye surgery and I have to wait and wait. They call you back so you get excited that it’s your turn. All they do is ask a couple of questions and then send you back out to waiting area again! Then you wait another hour to be called back again. This is unbelievable! When you have an appointment you should never have to wait this long. My time should be respected like their time. I hope they get it together.

Thank you to Melissa and the rest of the staff across their Tampa area offices! Finding a medical professional (both the job and actions) that exemplifies great customer service and bed-side manner is getting harder and harder to find. We had a mix-up with scheduled appointments between their Hyde Park and Largo locations and they more than made up for the confusion. Not only did I get a phone call apologizing and clarifying my exact needs, they followed up at my appointment today with a letter to the same effect along with token of their appreciation. Many thanks!! Looking forward to continued care with the Eye Institue of West Florida!!

Do not use this Largo location. unprofessional staff and rude authorization department. They called 2 hours before my appointment to ask for referral. I spent hours getting them a referral, they told me to go back and get an authorization. They treat you bad when you complain because of stupidity and luck of responsibility. bunch of loosers with no desire to do their work or help. . Useless awful people in the second floor eye department.

Everyone was super friendly and helpful I was very nervous going in and they immediately calmed me down and explained each procedure so I knew exactly what was happening Dr Ho was amazing Had to have am injection in eye and never felt a thing She was great. Dr. Desai did an amazing job diagnosing my eye condition and put me on the path to recovery. He's one of the most brilliant doctors I've met and he has a great team there at Eye Institute. Highly recommended.

I visited this center last week and was able to book an appointment same day. My experience was great. Joel Thomas made the experience even better with his charisma and professionalism. I definitely recommend this location.

I was highly referred by my Optometrist to Dr. Amy Martino. When I checked in for my appointment, the ladies up front had such a fun, positive energy. Alexa and Melissa made me laugh and they helped me. I am sorry I did not get the name of the third lovely lady up front but she was awesome too. I was quickly called in for some testing with Leon. He was also as sweet as can be, and very helpful. Dr. Martino and her Assistant Jessica met with me right. at my scheduled time. I received some great news after a review of my chart, notes and tests. I will be coming back annually to monitor everything with Dr. Martino.
