List of Tallman Eye Associates's Reviews
Medically I recommend D’Angelis who is great. However, this review is based on admin part: appts canceled & patients not informed. This has happened 3x with my mother, last one being Jan 24th 2025 for appt with Donna Vann. Apparently there’s a note saying they left a voicemail on Dec 22nd, however, they seem to forget that cell phones keep a log of all received/ missed calls / voicemail transcripts (I have no voicemail or phone calls from Tallman Eye or any unknown number- see print screen). There were other patients who stated they didn’t receive a call either. Very disrespectful given that some people have to take a half day off from work to take their elderly loved one to the appt, and for some of these older folks getting out of their home can be very complicated /painful. Some of them are paying cabs when they can’t really afford it, and all for a canceled appointment that no one had the decency to inform them about.
Arrived 15 minutes before my appointment. Checked myself in (2 out of 4 check in monitors were down so there was a line). I was there for a pressure check (glaucoma). Takes less than 10 minutes. After close to an hour and a half I was informed it would be at least another hour and a half before I saw the doctor. Not the first time this happened but for me is the last. To say they overbook is a huge understatement. I left. Now looking for a practice that knows how to book appointments
You get to the appointment a few minutes late and they don’t want to see you. But god forbid you are early and have to wait 45 minutes to an hour to be seen. This place has the worst service and all they can say is oh I’m sorry I understand, but then if you go and check in with the staff they send you to the damn machines and that takes more time to check in. AGAIN THE WORST PLACE TO GO GET YOUR EYES CHECK.
It’s very surprising to see all of the bad reviews. I have had a terrific experience with Tallman Eye. Thankfully I got in right away in 2022 to see Dr. Botero and my glaucoma was caught. I’ve been on drops ever since following up every few months. Unfortunately my eye pressure wasn’t going down so Dr. Botero got me in immediately for laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT) I was SO nervous! But his staff was amazing they didn’t speak down to me they were very informative as was Dr.Botero, he always takes his time with me to explain everything. My procedure went off without any problems just like he said I would walk out saying “oh, that wasn’t bad” Now I just have to wait and follow up with him and hopefully I won’t need any more procedures. Thank you Dr.Botero & Staff!!!
Yikes! Just came from there. Hav. Office. I walked out in the middle of my appointment after being talked down to and disrespected by 2 of the most unprofessional, pompous techs I've encountered in 68 years. I didn't even get to see the doctor. Judging from the other lovely reviews, this is probably a good thing . Wish you could give zero stars!!
Horible, i datnon hold for 15 min. I had to hang up so tried to set appointment on their website. Nope... I am now looking for a new eye doctors office. They got to big... Bigger is not always better. YOU HAVE TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. If you look through the reviews not once do they comment appologizing or offering to fix their mistake and BAD BUSINESS
Lawrence office has very unprofessional and eye catching behavior from the front desk team which I had to deal with sometimes at that office but some of them are very good who works back ends inside the office. Company should provide serious training who doesn’t have any customer skills and how to respect with dignity specially at the front desk level. They probably doesn’t realize not all customers are not the same and they may comes from different backgrounds with professionalism.
I’m very disappointed with Tallman Eye Associates. They constantly cancel appointments at the last minute, and when they do manage to schedule one, it’s often at the wrong location. This means I have to call back repeatedly, which is incredibly frustrating. To make matters worse, the staff over the phone, especially Jennifer in the call center, are extremely rude and unhelpful. It’s clear that some serious retraining is needed. I expected a much higher level of professionalism from a medical office.
Treat customers as humans with respect instead of an insurance claim for profit. I find it abhorrent that I had a serious vision test and due to medical events had to reschedule. they literally said oh we don't reschedule tests. ok no problem. I got a new optometrist. absolutely overbooked clownshow to maximize profits over patient care. patronize this establishment AT YOUR OWN RISK.
IF you can get a live person to answer the phone it should be considered a miracle! I have been on hold greater than 30 minutes with no luck. The Opthamologists are completely unaware of this serious situation. I plan on telling the Opthamologist at my next visit. I want THEM to call from a different phone to experience what patients have to deal with! Good luck if you're having an eye crisis! They told me to go to Boston at Mass Eye & Ear ER where I sat for 7 (SEVEN HOURS) only to be misdiagnosed! There is ONE good opthamologist at Tallman that diagnosed me correctly and is following up with me, BUT when I have new issues in between visits, I cannot break through the phone lines. ALL the physicians need to know that their patients are meeting a firewall when it comes to their phone operator!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
