When you are admitted to the hospital from the E.R. and have surprise surgery you dont have a lot of time to research doctors and are at the mercy of the call rotation. With that being said, I do not think I could have found a better doctor. Dr. Fahrner is a very kind lady and took the time to ensure all of my questions were answered prior to surgery and in the days after. On my follow up visit to her office she was very thorough in her exam and again answered all of my questions. I am extremely pleased.
Dr. Fahrner saved my sister's life via a very complicated emergency surgery. Not only is she an amazing surgeon, but unlike many surgeons/physicians she is very caring. Also she she takes time (another rare quality among physicians) to explain things. She is also creative, looking for alternate solutions to problems. Overall she is fabulous. I would give her more starts than 5 if I could.
She removed my gallbladder five years ago, and it was a nightmare of an experience. It took me years to recover from the trauma of my simple surgery. She ripped a muscle when doing my laparoscopic surgery but refused admit that was what was ailing me, so after countless, expensive tests, I was deemed fine and sent home from a threeday hospital stay. I was not fine. I could not get up and down without excruciating pain and couldnt sleep for weeks. It took several months for that pain to subside enough that it didnt occupy my every thought. I still have remnants of the pain if I overwork my abs. Through the whole experience she was cold and uncaring. I could not believe that a doctor would basically say, I did my job; youre on your own. You did a crappy job, and you should have fixed it.
I always find Dr. Fahrner to be kind, caring, and professional. She has the magic touch for finding lumps where they should not be.
I owe my life to her. She took great care in treating me. She is kind, loving , caring, and very knowledgeable about everything she had done. She care for me and my family with respect. I always turn back to her and her office for surgery matters.
Dr. Farner is an excellent doctor. She is very sincere and compassionate about her patients. I was in bad condition and I can do nothing but thank her for being there for me and getting me on the road to recover.
Dr. Fahrner did surgery on me about 12 years ago. I went back because I was having some problems; I just wanted to ask some questions. After waiting an hour and 10 minutes to see her she came in and said you dont have a hernia (after brief two minute check up). When I tried to ask questions about the hernia repair she did she continually said, I dontk no,w I cant tell you, Im not sure basically wouldnt answer any of my questions Spent a total of 10 minutes and walked out. Very, very disappointed in her .
I met her in the ER of the hospital when I learned my Gall Bladder had to be removed. She was thorough and straight forward and I felt completely confident in her abilities
