List of Schweiger Dermatology Group's Reviews
Should have read the reviews 45 minutes wait for literally 4 minutes with the doctor.
While I've been going to Schweiger Dermatology for years and have always had a positive experience, my most recent visit was not. The dermatologist did not have the best bedside manners and did not believe it was necessary to discuss the negative effects of the prescribed medicine. I almost walked out in the middle of the visitation, but I felt it was best to obtain the prescription and move on.
I went to see Dr. Sumayah Jamal. First, she gave me some "Eczema Skin Routine" sheet that suggested I used Dr. Bronner's unscented soap. Anyone with any understanding of skin and that soap knows that it would only worsen eczema conditions. Furthermore, how do you now know the difference between "Unscented" and "Fragrance Free?" Furthermore, the tips on the sheet are basic everyday knowledge pertaining to eczema. I interacted with the MA mainly because Dr. Jamal was in and out the room in under three minutes and never returned. She looked at my skin, told me to keep a food journal?????? Then brought back the skin routine sheet which felt like an ad, and gave me a general prescription. The same one that I had before. Clearly I need something else if I'm back with similar issues. She didn't ask any specific questions to understand triggers, duration and severity of symptoms, history with symptoms, etc. in all honesty, I felt like I was inconveniencing her by being there to begin with. God forbid I go to a dermatologist for my skin concerns. Lastly, I ended up having to talk to her MA, and ask a series of questions to which she responded, "I'm not sure, I'm not the doctor." Which is a fair response, but begs the question, where is the doctor??? Dr. Jamal quickly left the room without even as much as a goodbye, no explanation on how to use the prescriptions, and no timetable for a follow-up. Granted, I wouldn't have gone anyway, but that's the bare minimum from and doctor, no? Lackluster service and extremely disappointed in how l was treated
Highly recommend this is the only place that found a cure for my five year long skin problem. I am forever thankful to Sumayah Jamal, MD. She was straight forward and didn’t waste my time with unnecessary treatments I refer all of my friends to this clinic.
First appointment here and at a dermatologist office ever! Dr. Sumayah Jamal explained everything very well and make it know that light scarring isn't worth the risk of laser correction complications so more to ponder on my decision. Nurse Jackie helped calm me down when it was time for biopsy abd a needle was involved. Very calm and trusting environment
I brought my 10 month old son here for a check up and the experience was very disappointing. The office was noticeably unclean even tools that should be sanitary, the receptionist was unhelpful and unfriendly, and the entire environment felt disorganized. We saw Dr. Gloria Lin through our insurance because she sees children but the appointment felt extremely rushed and vague. She did not provide a diagnosis and simply told me to come back in eight months which is far too long for a toddler dealing with severe skin allergies. It was clear that she lacked the necessary knowledge and attentiveness for our situation.
The worst dermatology location/company that I have ever visited. I waited about 2 hours to see Dr. Sumayah Jamal. Then when I saw her, she took a brief look and scheduled me for another appointment. She did not help me or anything. I still had to pay my copay. Then, to make things worse, they inflated charges on my bill for a service I never received! This is the worse company and I will never go back again.
Hana Seckler, PA is amazing and very knowledgeable. She took her time to listen to my concerns and gave great feedback/advice. I feel very comfortable during my visit seeing her and would definitely return. I only gave four stars because the office was surprisingly warm. I'm used to medical offices being pretty cold. There are also some flies or bugs flying around the waiting room and one was in the patient room. It's summertime so I can't fully blame them but just slightly off-putting for doctor's office. Despite that, I would definitely return to speak with Hana.
This office was AMAZING. I had a really speedy experience, in and out, which was great because I had to go during work hours. I really felt comfortable showing my skin here (I’ve had doctors in the past where I’ve felt really embarrassed with my skin, but not here). I recommend to ANYONE!! I saw Hana Seckler for people who are wondering:)
It has taken over a month for Dr. Jamal's MA team to call in a specialty medication for my eczema. When I went back for my next appointment, they realized it was never called in to my home delivery pharmacy. They finally contacted my pharmacy with the prescription but left the instructions on how to take the medication, which is by law. My pharmacy tried several times to contact the office for them to fill the prescription correctly to no avail. The pharmacy also tried 3 times to contact the office to have two refills for ointments refilled, and the office has not yet spoken with my pharmacy. I called this morning 7/8/25, and finally spoke to reception after being hung up on by their automated system for the last week. The receptionist Micheal seemed more interested in listening to respond and not to hear the frustration I was experiencing dealing with them not doing their jobs of ensuring I had my the medication to reduce the eczema flareup on my face and body. It seemed he was more concerned in getting me off the phone than providing a solution. This is the worst staff from contacting them via the phone or dealing with the medical assistants using Klara.com If this doesn't get rectified before the end of the week, then I will be forced to find a Dr whose staff is a bit more professional

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
