I have seen Dr. Protain several visits now. I consider him to be one the very best doctors I know and that’s a lot of Drs! He is so intelligent in many areas, makes you feel so at ease, explains in detail what’s going on with you and answers all your questions. He sincerely cares about your health, your concerns, and answers every question until you understand it. I had some worrisome concerns and I understand them thoroughly now. I cannot say that about the rest of my drs or issues. He is an example for Drs to follow. Thank you Dr Protain! Kidney Island

Dr. Protain goes beyond the call of duty. With so many patients to attend to somehow he takes the ample time to listen to the concerns of his patients. He is very easy to talk to and makes you feel comfortable with each decision. He is a straight forward but caring doctor. My experience with him has been excellent. Highly recommend him.

Dr. Protain and the staff at Island Kidney Care were outstanding before, during and after my initial visit to their office. The Dr. was extremely professional, knowledgeable, informative, caring and took whatever time needed to explain to me my current condition, required tests and a detailed plan of action to address my kidney issues. He is definetly one of the best physicians of any medical discipline I have had on Maui and in Hawaii. I could not have had a better experience or feel that I am in more capable hands than with Dr. Protain. He gave me peace of mind and relieved my anxiety about my kidney issues and I consider it a blessing to have him as my doctor. I am referring my family and friends to him as he could not be more highly recommended!
