Afolarin Banjoko

I started going to Dr. Banjoko about 2 and half years ago for depression and he also sees my son for ADHD. He recently moved to a new office and it is beautiful and spacious. Once or twice I had an issue with a front desk staff member last year but she is no longer there. The new girls are all fantastic. Dr. Banjoko listens to what I have to say and has brought me back from the depths of a horrible depression. I once again can find joy in life. It took trying a couple different meds to finally find the one that work. My son has had great care. I love the use of the computer test thing they do for ADHD. The report really opened my eyes to what the meds do to help him pay attention. I have loved watching Dr. Banjoko grow his office from just to a couple people to the large staff of providers and staff members he has now. It is one stop shopping for all your mental health needs. Overall I have had a great experience going to this office and would recommend it to everyone.

Doesn't seem to care about your mental problems. Shows little interest in you as a patient. Gets offensive when the patient asks.for a change to their medication. Actually told me that I didn't like his services I had the choice to go to another doctor. Sounded like he didn't want to deal with me anymore.I definitely am going to start seeing another psychiatrist.

This guy is a joke. He is rude as hell, and I've been diagnosed by many doctors over many years and in his 2 minute yearly sit downs with me he told me all the ways that my diagnosis were wrong and I was wrong. If you are looking for an initial diagnosis or medication help DO NOT GO TO HIM.

Physician left practice and their office rescheduled my appointment to over a month later. This in turn lead me to going off my meds , that have dangerous withdrawal symptoms. It took 5 days for them to approve my refills and that entailed me calling 3 times a day to get something done about it. I will be moving practices thankfully . Also thankful that the Savannah practice is being shut down. The office staff is so incredibly rude. I was told on the phone to take the appointment or not. Like it’s not their problem type of attitude. Graciously one of the medical assistants in Hinesville answered the phone after 5 days of calling and helped me VERY VERY QUICKLY. I had my meds in an hour . I have filed a complaint with the Georgia medical board against him for medical negligence.

I’ve been to many mental health providers over the past 20 years and Dr Banjoko is, by far, the worst I have ever been to. Read off the computer the entire time, forms his own opinion from notes as opposed to asking you directly, no explanation on prescriptions. He’s not interested in helping complex situations and even said if I don’t agree with him to feel free to find another physician. Very unprofessional.

Terrible bedside manner, puts on a manipulative “can’t understand” manner. After seeing him for some time, his staff knew my life and who I am better than Banjoke himself. He will attempt to treat you with disrespect when he has no answer for the questions you ask. I specially asked if there should be trust between Dr and patient- after staring at me for some time attempting to answer he said “if you don’t trust me I no longer Dr for you”.

One of the worst Doctors I have ever come in contact with! He was so rude and arrogant, he didn't even realize he didn't CARE about helping me, he only cared about holding medication over my head!!! He LITERALLY gave me a panic attack, made me cry, told me some B.S. take on my life, but never told me a way to change it!!!The girls in the office are wonderful, and Dr. Cindy is Amazing, but Dr. Banjanko is by far the WORST psychiatrist out there!!! He would push you over the bride if you were thinking of jumping!! All he cares about is his opinion, and screw how YOU...THE PATIENT feels!!!

This doc is not all interested in helping. He should certainly not be treating children. Basically said there was no hope for my child. ADHD and odd. How do u tell a parent the child is choosing to act this way and it is her fault.
