Dr. Grau was my surgical oncologist who just performed a prophylactic bilateral mastectomy. She is a wonderful, very thorough and compassionate physician. She attentively listened to all my questions and concerns.

Dr. Grau takes her time with you and gives you her entire attention. She has answered all of my questions and provided an abundance of information for me.

That is one person writing the negative review over and over and over. I recommend she seek therapy. Everyone else can find more accurate reviews at Vanderbilt. Women facing mastectomies shouldnt have to wade through an unbalanced persons obsessive reviews.

I am a 40 yr old breast cancer patient. I was referred to Vanderbilt Breast Center when I was diagnosed. Dr Ana Grau had the first available appointment. I didnt know any of the doctors in this practice so I looked up her reviews. A cancer diagnosis is devastating enough but to read bad reviews on your prospective doctor is crushing. So if you are in the same situation I found myself 2 years ago, I want to encourage you and give you hope! Dr Ana Grau is an amazing surgeon. She is compassionate, kind, thoughtful, caring and competent. She performed my double mastectomy and lymph biopsy. I have not had a moment of complication. She and her practice has provided me with excellent care during my battle with cancer. I am thankful God lead me to Dr. Grau and the Vanderbilt Breast Center. So please dont let the one bad review cause you needless worry during this already trying time. You are in good hands. God bless you.

Dr. Grau is an excellent surgeon, both technically and in terms of bedside manner. It is clear that it is the same person writing the negative reviews about her nerve damage. It is a shame that one person who had a bad outcome (probably not even due to the surgeon) is so angry and impacting other peoples decisions. Dr. Grau is unbelievablehave nothing but great things to say about her.

It took me 3 years to get a biopsy because my local doctors only believe in mamograms.then when cancer came back, Dr.Grau is the only doctor that gave me proper treatment. She saved my life and I am going back to her,

I was an early stage breast cancer patient. She tried to take all my lymph nodes even though none were positive. She dug into my axilla and severed many nerves. I woke up in excruciating burning pain that never left. I had to have another surgery by a peripheral nerve surgeon for the pain. They found surgical clips on many nerves including the median nerve and ulner nerve! These are large nerves that go to your arm. Dr. Grau denied causing pain and told me there was nothing she could do.

I had stage 2 breast cancer. She did surgery and now Ive lost use of my arm and hand. She cut blood vessels and nerves. I had terrible blood flow to my arm after her surgery and had to get repairs done by a vascular surgeon to help with blood flow. Its still not nearly as good as it was before she did surgery but its better. The nerve pain is unbearable. I dont recommend letting her touch you. All of this was unnecessary.
