Super frustrated after being on the phone for an hour trying to get connected to my daughters first telehealth visit. Initially had to wait a whole month before even being able to be seen. Spoke to three different people waited on hold for very long periods of time. Was told by one person mom don’t worry will call you right back never heard anything, si I called back waiting on hold for a long time. For her to tell me you’ll still be seen and then I got transferred to somebody else telling me that I will not be able to be seen and I will have to reschedule my visit. And they had no way of contacting the doctor to accommodate us. And the office manager just so conveniently was going to be in a conference and was not able to come to the phone. This was a waste of my time. I was then told over the phone that they did not have my daughters Health insurance information. I was actually speaking to the person who actually booked my daughters appointment and had given her all my daughters insurance information a month ago. After I re-gave it to her she said oh yes we do have it here in an email. I feel like they are very on organized. I scheduled this appointment so my daughter could get her special accommodations for school. That is now delayed. They tried to make it out to be my fault and say they have been trying to reach me all day for herInsurance information.. I was busy with other personal doctors appointments. Conveniently my daughters new appointment will now be two days after major surgery. How convenient !!! What a joke !!!

After waiting 8 months for an appointment with Dr. Maftinez which was canceled three times, I was given an appointment with this doctor. I was told he was the one who knew more about ADHD. I faxed 7 years worth of records of my son from MCH for his review prior to the appointment. When I finally got there and told him the reason why I was there, his first comment was “I dont think I can help you”. After an hour of questioning my son who is 11, his conclusion was that my son might not be in the spectrum or might not have ADHD and did not need a neurologist but he could recommend some parenting classes for me at Nova. I hope he will never have to raise a kid diagnosed in the spectrum at the age of 2. God bless his heart and pour kindness into the way he helps others. I think if they study the kids records and know they cannot help, the least they can do is save the parent wasting time.
