At 71, I have been to far more doctor's offices than I would like. I find Dr. Malanga to be an exceptional practitioner. On my first visit, which included at least 30 minutes of face time with the doctor. He was exceptionally thorough, and asked plenty of questions about my condition, previous treatment at another doctor's, my current state of health, and went over in detail my imaging. Dr. Malanga went over my history with me, and digressed into another condition for which I am being treated, and how that treatment for that condition can affect pulmonary embolism risk. He discussed my being on blood thinners, and before offering an opinion on that, said he would check with 2 other specialists currently treating me. I was enormously impressed by his thoroughness, skill in asking questions that provided information I had not thought to offer, and his overall manner. The staff in the practice, and I have talked with people in all 3 of his locations, are uniformly friendly, professional, and most of all, and hardest to find - just plain flat out competent. All 5 stars for this doctor and his skill in selecting staff as well.

He explained the method with which he will approach my problem. He was knowledgeable and courteous.

I think the World of Dr. Malanga ! He is so down to Earth and cares about not only his Patients but includes their Family as well :) He suggested I be tested for the Amyloidosis Disease and was right about it too ! He told me I was a very rare & weird case and HE DID NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO FOR ME !!!!!!! That's why he suggested Boston Medical College after he had a slide of mine sent out to be Analyzed in Syracuse . He went that extra mile for me because He Cares and I shall never forget it either :) May God Richly Bless Him !!!!!! He is now my Pulmonary Doctor I would refer him to everyone He is AWESOME :)

The office for Dr. Malanga took 3 weeks! to submit a prescription for me despite repeated inquiries. Then there was a problem with the prescription. Then they refused to prescribe anything after I was forced to go to another Dr. for the medication. They never call to update you on anything. I have been requesting a call from the Dr.for over 2 months now. Nurse originally told me that he wouldn't call back for 2 weeks because he was "going on vacation" then didn't even call back after that. The experience was surreal. Do yourself a favor and RUN don't walk to another practice.
