I don't appreciate having my time wasted by any doctor. My appointment was at 1pm. I was there on time and filled out all of their paperwork. I was kept waiting over 45 minutes. When I asked how soon I'd be taken, I was told there were 3 patients ahead of me. I asked the receptionist to find out actually how much longer it would be. She came back with 30 more minutes at which point I got up and left. My time is valuable and I needed to get back to my office. Healthcare is still a service business. You should know if you are running late and provide your customers (patients) with the courtesy of a call letting them know about the delay. At least then they can choose what to do. If one patient comes late, that shouldn't be to the detriment of the patients that come on time. There is no excuse, except HUBERIS, for any doctor to have excessive wait times and not do the right thing for their customers.
