Amazing!! My daughter was really struggling as a pre-teen with unexpected and recurring break outs all over her face. I was not sure what to do and she was emotionally devastated. She is a pre-teen and started getting really aggressive acne. I called Manhattan Dermatology after hearing how great they were with helping teenagers clear their acne (to include brown girls - that's critically important). Due to COVID and my busy traveling schedule it was hard to accommodate an in person session, at the same time Dr. M did not want my daughter to have to wait. They offered to do a Telehealth appointment and it did not disappoint. Very thorough despite the distance. I was surprised how quick, easy and informative it was! The doctor asked my daughter about her eating habits, products and routine (or lack of) that she had been using to try and determine the problem and come up with a good solution. She ended up creating a regimen for her that was easy to follow. She is two months post her initial visit and her skin has cleared up nicely. This had an immediate impact on her confidence and helped her understand and work with what she can control. I am so grateful for Manhattan Dermatology & Dr. Magovern for being able to help make my daughter feel better about her skin. Amazing experience! We are life longers.

This is the first time I have submitted a review online, but I wanted to publicly express my appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Magovern and her wonderful staff! Dr. Magovern was kind, caring, and generous with her time. Wonderful, low-key, friendly bedside manner! She's a wonderful person and doctor, and I highly recommend her!! The staff is the friendliest and nicest I have ever encountered! The office and decor is beautiful, as well as restful and inviting!!

Dr Magovern is wonderful! While I was in for a cosmetic service, she took off a questionable mole that ended up being a BCC. She has a patient & kind bedside manner & is very thorough. She or her staff never try to upsell me on products or services. Everyone there is so friendly & the office is gorgeous. Always a great experience.

I just went to my first appointment with Dr. Magovern. Her office is very nice, comfortable, and clean. The office staff was friendly and helpful, especially Nicole. Dr. Magovern's bedside manor is terrific. She is a great listener, and was able to help me with multiple skin concerns at the time of my visit. I left feeling very good about my experience with her. She focused on the needs of my skin, and I feel that she was very thorough. I'm excited to follow up with her again in 1 month.

Dr. Magovern is terrific. She makes great recommendations, gives you advice on over the counter products, and makes sure you're not paying too much for her prescriptions, and gives away a ton of free samples.

I saw Dr. Magovern in 2008 when I was given an appt.at Murad Clinic for a skin problem. She was very caring and took the time to access my moles and biopsied one specifically. Dr.Magovern called me within a couple of days to inform me of a malignant melanoma and provided an appt. with the Chief at John Wayne Cancer Institute in Santa Monica. I was operated on within days by Dr.Donald Morton and I feel because of the superb attention & professionalism that Dr.Magovern provided to me perhaps saved a possible negative diagnosis. I recommend her without hesitation~

I have been a patient of Dr. Magovern's since she was employed by Dr. Murad. I do understand that she is in the midst of opening her own practice. I found Dr. Magovern to be professsional, honest and caring. In my opinion, the greatest quality of Dr. Magovern is that she comes from the heart. I wouldn't consider going to anyone else.

I was referred to a younger doctor in her office who recommended a skin test from DermTech which tests for melanoma. Price was not discussed, nor coverage. It consisted of 4 clear sticky tape like patches that collected skin cells. My insurance called it experimental and I got a bill for $1200. The test came back positive so a second biopsy was done which came back benign. I feel like I just got sacked by going to a doctor who was not careful about my plan/my costs/or didn't care. Be very careful before you agree to any procedure at this office and don't assume they are watching out for you financially here.
