I found Janice online and what a find - she has been amazing! I was trying to help some friends who suddenly found themselves in an exceedingly difficult and unique situation. My childhood friend, Sally, had been recently diagnosed with ALS and wanted to return to her hometown in Ohio in order to be closer to family. However, her husband, Jim, who suffered a traumatic brain injury many years ago, wanted to remain in Greensboro. Since he was unable to live independently without his wife’s assistance, I asked Janice to provide us with living options for Jim. I especially needed her help as I live in Ohio and had not a clue about senior resources in Greensboro. She quickly set up tours and joined us in visiting a community which Jim moved in to. Janice also connected us to a realtor who managed to sell their home in less than 30 days. When Jim expressed a desire to move into another community since he had become dissatisfied with the first community, Janice, again, immediately jumped in, found him a new place, set up movers, and he moved in 3 days later - by the way, this was on New Year's Day. She even went to the former community to pick up things Jim had forgotten. Janice periodically checked on Jim and noticed he was not doing well. So she connected his wife, Sally, to a geriatric Care Manager who was engaged to help Jim along the way. Fast forward months later, Jim, lonely and missing his wife, decided it was time to move to Ohio to be nearer to her. And yes, in the middle of a pandemic! So once again I reached out to Janice who connected me with a senior moving company which was hired to move Jim’s belongings to Ohio. Janice has been an invaluable resource for me and my friends, especially in the light of a devastating diagnosis requiring quick action and the double whammy of a pandemic. We truly could not have done this without her guidance. THANK YOU, Janice!!
