I had FTM top surgery with Dr. Amirlak in December, and I couldn't be happier with the decision to work with him and his team. From the very beginning, I felt welcomed and respected. I know consultations can feel awkward, but they made it as easy as possible. He's very genuine and will tell you the exact risks and and success rate of different incision options. He really cares about his work and your satisfaction with your results. The day of the surgery, everyone was still just as welcoming. They talked through everything that would be happening and made me feel great and safe about the procedure. They were also able to update my parents who had come with me as things happened. Im a little over three months post-op and everything looks great so far. My Incision and placement is even and everything is healing nicely. First off I’d like to say thank you to Dr. Amirlak and his team. I contacted him regarding a forehead revision a month or two ago since I wasn’t happy with the first procedure I had done at another surgery center. He went out of his way to take my call before I even scheduled a consultation. We did a cat scan to see how much he could shave off. Two months later, I have the hairline that I want, the forehead that I want, the stitching that I want, everything I was secretly praying for, happened. He took his time with my surgery and made sure everything was perfect. Please please please if you’re looking for someone to do forehead work, go to him. Save yourself the revision surgery because he gets it right on the first try. Also, I’ve had a fair amount of work done in my years, and I’ve never had a surgeon follow up that same day to see how I’m recovering. Usually, it’s a surgical nurse or an office assistant, which is totally fine and normal, but that just shows the level of care that he provides. He called to make sure I was recovering and feeling well. Thank you again to you Dr. Amirlak and your amazing team. I really appreciate it.

Dr. Amirlak is a life savior. I had consultations with several other surgeons for FTM Top Surgery, and when I found Dr. Amirlak and his team, I knew he was the one I was looking for. On March 9th of 2021 Dr. Amirlak performed my double incision mastectomy top surgery. I am a transgender patient, this surgery was a major part of my transition. I was treated with utmost respect and care, my chosen name and pronouns were used, and the surgery was a complete success. My incision lines are beautifully straight and the scars are healing nicely. It was a pleasure having Dr. Amirlak as my surgeon and I could not recommend him strongly enough.
